Found this interesting. Penn state, another flagship university with strong athletics, basically made a ton from football and barely broke even covering all the other sports. Texas likely in better shape but most other schools probably don’t fare as well

 

No doubt about it ... others are in much worse shape 

That’s because all those other sports have been held down for so long.

I had a fiscal breakdown once...but it was nothing like this. 

I actually would be very interested to see how Texas' fiscal breakdown for sports was.  Shows which teams pull their fair share based on % allocated.

Yeah though not many schools are net 23 million positive in basketball

I would calculate it differently ... football has higher gross income than BB ($63 million vs $39 million) but basketball has higher net income after expenses ($23 million BB vs $14 million FB). 

Which sounds crazy to me ...
