Found this interesting. Penn state, another flagship university with strong athletics, basically made a ton from football and barely broke even covering all the other sports. Texas likely in better shape but most other schools probably don’t fare as well

 

I actually would be very interested to see how Texas' fiscal breakdown for sports was.  Shows which teams pull their fair share based on % allocated.

I would calculate it differently ... football has higher gross income than BB ($63 million vs $39 million) but basketball has higher net income after expenses ($23 million BB vs $14 million FB). 

Which sounds crazy to me ...
