Another one built up to the west and sorta looks like it may go just south of Norman. But that means more lightning and more delays.

Boo ya!! It’s 10:41 and OU still sucks!! Not exactly the season we were hoping for, but honestly with the injuries we’ve faced this season it’s awesome to see them being scrappy and winning these series week in and week out. There’s a lot of DP haters out there but gotta say that despite the challenges these guys have found ways to win games that truly matter in conference against good teams. Hook’em!

Need Texas to show up in a big way this weekend against Oklahoma State. Have to take that series and a sweep would be ideal. Oklahoma State is not good in away games. In fact, they’re barely above .500 with a 9-8 record (18-5 at home).

Also need Cincy to win at least one, but preferably take the series against West Virginia. 

And we all need to be Texas Tech fans this weekend and root for them to beat the Sooners. Tough task but the good news is the Sooners head to Lubbock and, although they’re terrible on the road, they’re pretty damn good at home. 21-4 vs 6-11. Thank God that game is on the road for OU. 

Losing opening game seven straight series and getting five series wins.

Pierce’s rope-a-dope strategy works again.

I gotta give kiddos to coach Pierce and his staff. When LBJ went out early I thought they were done. The bats obviously carried the team which is how this team is probably going to win most games the rest of the way. That was a big series win! Lotta work left to do. Hopefully weather works out this weekend. 

Is it just me or do we swing the bat much better on the road this year?? Need that to change with a huge series this weekend. 🤘🏻

Also BYU hasn’t won a big 12 game since traveling to Austin lol. 

Series win against Skip and OU on road is great, but we’re not even snifffing a top 25 ranking and have Tuesday losses to TAMU-CC, UTRGV and lost a season series to TXState. 

Even with series win against OU, still two games behind in 4th place in a down/crap conference and the only path to the post-season is likely a tourney championship?

I agree the program isn’t where it needs to be. We’ve seen areas of big improvement this season (mostly with the offense) and seen regression (mostly with pitching and defense). It’s been a roller coaster no doubt. The Horns might have cracked the top 50 after last weekend. But there are still key games left on the schedule. Regular season champs is still possible.
