Oregon adds last minute free agent for playoff run

Featured Replies

I don't think I've ever seen this before, and it makes sense for an Oregon to pull something like this.  They signed a 5* kid, Gatlin Bair in as part of 2024 class.  Dude goes on a missionary trip, and decides to join Oregon NOW, just in time for their playoff run.  How convenient!

Man, I hate Oregon...

So he was part of the team to begin the year but now you are mad that he is on the team at the end of the year?

Doubt he academically eligible to plays in playoffs because he wasn’t a student this semester

He wasn’t enrolled as student this semester so he is ineligible to play.

We had kids in our 2025 class that went through playoff practices last year.

Really?  How were they able to do that if they haven't enrolled?

@Bobby Burton can confirm if I'm confabulating, but I remember the early enrollees having physicals in Dec and going through team workouts for the CFP.

You can practice but you cant play

So he goes on a mission trip for two years, puts some weight on and then comes back as a 20-21 yr old “freshman” who can then redshirt and start his path to threatening Diego Pavea’s age record for oldest to attend a heisman ceremony….. or did Chris weinke beat both of them in that one 🤣🤣

Lance jackson and a few other freshmen practices last year during the CFP run.

They were enrolled and had already moved on campus.

It’s simple folks they graduated early and they can practice but can’t play.
