Every year, Texas signs a recruit or two that are relatively highly ranked but don’t get the national attention they ultimately deserve. Graceson Littleton was that player a year ago. Perhaps Rocky Cummings or Kosi Okpala turns into that player in the 2026 recruiting class. In the class of 2027, I would pick defensive back Brandon Sherrard if he indeed selects the Longhorns later this morning over LSU and Oklahoma. OTF checked in with 2025 four-star defensive back Aidan Anding out of Ruston, Louisiana late Sunday evening. Anding was originally set to make a commitment at the flip of the calendar from June to July, however decided to hold off and reroute after receiving an offer from LSU. Anding visited LSU late last week and made an additional trip to Fayetteville on Saturday to meet with Arkansas. Where things sit currently are pretty quiet. Anding has no timeline to make a decision, nor does Anding have any college games or additional visits locked in for the season at the moment. Since yesterday, I've asked some deeper questions and a few follow ups to folks based on what I was told much of yesterday. Some thoughts: - First of all, to a person, everyone said Quinn Ewers looked poised, in control, and delivered the ball with authority. - Second, to a person, everyone said the first team OL dominated the first team defensive line, particularly in pass protection.
