Texas WR Ryan Wingo announced via Instagram story that he will be back in Austin for his junior season in 2026. Wingo and Texas had been in communication since the conclusion of the season for a new deal for his junior season and they come to an agreement on keep him in Austin. Texas has already added Cam Coleman to the room and Emmett Mosley V is locked in as well. Now with Wingo officially back, the Longhorn starting WR trio can go pound for pound with just about any team in the entire country. After watching Notre Dame and Penn State last night, all I can say is the Longhorns would match up exceedingly well with either of those teams. Both teams played solid, physical defense, relied heavily on the run game and the pass just enough. But Texas has a little something extra to them compared to the Irish and Nittany Lions. Going into camp, we were wondering about several position battles: - The Wide receiver rotation - Possible OL rotation - Edge - Cornerback opposite Manny Muhammad ** Prior to the second and final scrimmage of fall camp on Saturday, most of these battles look like they’ve almost all been settled, except perhaps one: Wide receiver rotation Silas Bolden and DeAndre Moore seem to have solidified roles on this team. Texas is back on the board with a portal commitment! Former Arkansas LB Brad Spence has committed to Texas, first reported by Matt Zenitz of 247Sports. Spence was on campus in Austin this weekend and it didn't take long for the job to get done. Spence had 27 tackles and 4.5 sacks for the Razorbacks this past season, including seven tackles and a sack against Texas. Texas Tech LHP Samantha Lincoln has committed to Texas, according to her social media pages. The rising junior from Taunton, Mass. appeared in 25 games, with 12 starts in 2026. She registered a 3.47 era and an undefeated 7-0 record. For the year, Lincoln struck out 67 batters. She threw 3.1 innings against Texas in Game 1 of the WCWS Finals, allowing 2 earned runs and striking out one Longhorn. Toia announced his intention to enter the transfer portal today as a grad transfer from UCLA. Williams announced his intentions to transfer from TCU yesterday. Rather than labeling Arch Manning, Michael Taaffe and Cole Hutson as “doubtful” or “out”, Sark chose to go the same route with all of them - “questionable”. The designation leaves all of us guessing.
