The No. 4 ranked Texas Women’s Basketball team is just moments away from taking on No. 2 ranked South Carolina. Yesterday the Horns beat No. 3 UCLA with just seven players. That will be the case again for this game and probably for the foreseeable future. Freshman phenom Aaliyah Crump is in a boot after a foot injury. Unfortunately, sources have told me that she will be out awhile. Texas is also expected to be without senior guard Ashton Judd and sophomore guard Bryanna Preston as well. There is no timetable for their return as of now. The road doesn’t get any easier after tonight’s game either, as both Baylor and North Carolina loom large.

Texas signees and targets in All-American Games With the All-American games becoming a mix of senior and junior players, there will be a plethora of Texas targets in the 2027 cycle plus a few 2026 signees taking part. New Official Visit Set + Spring Visit Dates *** 2027 South Oak Cliff DB Isaiah Udom has set an official visit for the Texas Longhorns for June 12-14, he tells OTF. Udom earned his Texas offer on February 2nd and has quickly risen the board to where an official visit was set. The Longhorns will also receive an unofficial from Udom on March 28th, which is becoming one of the more popular weekends of the spring so far. Texas hosted Miami (Fla.) Coral Gables defensive lineman Stive-Bentley Keumajou Yondui last weekend for an unofficial visit. It was a makeup trip for the talented 6-foot-2.5, 295-pounder after his flight got cancelled earlier this month. AUSTIN, Texas — Texas defensive lineman Alex January is going into his third season with the Longhorns relatively under the radar considering he’s a guy who’s played in 21 games through two seasons on campus. AUSTIN, Texas — Five-star defensive lineman Marcus Fakatou returned to the Forty Acres on Saturday, opting for a return trip to Austin instead of Michigan. The last time he was in town was for UT’s win over Texas A&M in November. “This trip I think (what) stood out to me was being able to connect with the D-end’s coach (LaAllan Clark),” Fakatou told OTF. “Because when I came last year I was like 310 pounds, so I was seen as a D-tackle. But I was playing edge at high school. That’s what I want to play when I go to college. Texas extended an offer to 6-foot-2, 205-pound Louisville athlete commit Brooklyn Maxey on Tuesday afternoon, the Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day product announced. Red Oak (Texas) cornerback Dhillon McGee announced his top three earlier this week of Texas, Penn State and SMU. He ranked his suitors with OnTexasFootball ahead of his June 25th decision date. “So No. 1, I’m going to go Texas, No. 2 is Penn State, and No. 3 is SMU,” McGee told OTF this weekend. Four-star DL locks in Texas official visit Port Charlotte (Fla.) High 4-star defensive lineman Myron Charles made a first unofficial visit to Texas a week ago today. Seven days later, the disruptive tackle is scheduled to return in June. Charles, 6-4 and 290 pounds, is scheduled to make an official visit to Texas June 14-16 according to a source close to the recruitment. Texas joins the Sunshine State trio of powers scheduled to receive official visits. The Florida Gators are on the books first May 31-June 2. Brandon Brown update OnTexasFootball caught up with 4-star defensive line commit Brandon Brown (Melbourne, Fla./Eau Gallie) a few minutes ago. Brown, 6-1.5 and 285 pounds, told OTF that Texas defensive line coach Kenny Baker is scheduled to be by the school Monday afternoon for spring practice. This will be the first time Baker has watched Brown practice or play live. Brown also told OTF that he has replaced the Florida May 31-June 2 official visit with LSU. So the OV's are LSU, Tennessee June 7-9, Texas June 14-16 and USC June 21-23. Florida is fifth in the race.
