Texas women’s basketball has clinched a one seed in the 2026 Women’s NCAA Tournament. The Longhorns will face No. 16-seed Missouri State/Stephen F. Austin in Region 3 - Fort Worth on Friday in Austin. UT is coming off winning the SEC Tournament with a big win over South Carolina last weekend. Was out at the McKinney spring game last night to see 2025 top Texas LB target Riley Pettijohn in action. Pettijohn was only featured in three series for the McKinney defense, but his presence was felt when he was on the field. The 6-foot-2 linebacker shows off his speed the instant he steps on the field, it was quite impressive to see when he shoots up the field into the backfield. Red Oak (Texas) cornerback Dhillon McGee announced his top three earlier this week of Texas, Penn State and SMU.
