Lance Jackson has finally earned his fifth star! I understand stars don’t always matter but thought this would be a cool share.

Want to see the DT snap counts. I noticed in the stat sheet that Norton didn't register any tackles, curious to see how many snaps he had.

It’s been 16 years since Texas was ranked #1, I was 11 years old. So needless to say I’ve been a Texas fan through the dark decade. Wondered through the wilderness with Charlie strong and was taught that winning is hard by Tom Herman. The question I have is what is your most memorable LOW POINT of the 2010-2021?2022? Years of dormancy? mine has to be that 2016 trip to Kansas and laying that egg. I was bullied relentlessly for a week after that game 😂.

College football season begins to get real this week The 2024 college football season begins to get real this week. This is the weekend that college football fans will begin to see some separation among teams, and some on the Texas scheduled past and present. No. 6 Tennessee at No. 15 Oklahoma If the Vols go into Norman and handle the Sooners, as many expect, Tennessee becomes a legit contender for the CFP. An Oklahoma loss would set up a 7-5/8-4 type season for the Sooners in year three under Brent Venables. Tennessee remaining schedule: @ Arkansas Florida Alabama Kentucky Mississippi State @ Georgia UTEP @ Vanderbilt No. 11 USC a…

We punted four times for a 48 yard average. The punts were not pretty spirals, but they were effective. One of them basically flipped the field. Kudos to Michael Kern

By jersey # 0: Hill--all over the field; rarely misses a tackle 0: Moore--hard work paying off; nice 1st TD; takes a lot of blocks 1: Cook--finally some key targets 1: Finkley--looks about like last year; solid 2: Golden--on the long screen TD pass to Bond--he set the edge block well; several move the chains catches 2: Williams--lots of snaps--seems a bit slower than I remembered 3: Ewers--hope he's ok; not much to add from TV broadcast; that interception was quite odd 3: Guilbeau--another all over the field guy; solid tackler 4: Mukuba--no highlights but looks solid 4: Baxter--get well! 5: Muhammad--looks lock down; …

I cannot think of a receiver having a first three games as good as Bond. Throw in that he is a transfer, and it’s saying something. It’s hard for me to watch blocking, but I just watched his textbook block on the long Manning TD run. But I think he is fast, instinctive, can run great routes, has great hands and has a nose for the end zone. I think he is more complete than Worthy or A.D, and I love and appreciate both of them. As far as Freshman, Ringo reminds me of Lovell Pinkney and Roy Williams in terms of showing up as a man and immediately fitting in. But, in my eyes, Bond is clearly WR 1

I may be reaching, but it feels like Sark has built up our QB room to look like USC use to in the early 2000s . If I had to do a comparison of the two rooms it would go as follows. @Bobby Burton @Gerry Hamilton thoughts on this view? Quinn Ewers = Matt Leinhart Arch Manning = Carson Palmer Trey Owens = Matt Cassel KJ Lacey = Mark Sanchez

Another week, another victory for the Longhorns. In the end, the Horns were just too much for the Roadrunners, as Texas is now 3-0 after a 56-7 win. It was a game that saw Quinn Ewers come out due to a strained abdomen, a quick scare with OL Kelvin Banks, a big man rumbling and stumbling pick six and an Arch Manning coming out party. Weigh in with your thoughts, comments and questions and celebrate in this thread!

Despite LSU being the beneficiary of 2 pick 6 negated by questionable penalties against S Carolina he is going to ask the SEC to review another call. I hope the SEC tells him to STFU and be thankful.

Sunday morning Joseph Mbatchou update The Grayson High (Ga.) defensive lineman and OnTexasFootball 4-star+ prospect is back in Atlanta after making a 24 hour unofficial visit to Texas for the UTSA game. According to a locked in source, the visit went “great” with the 6-4, 280 pounder and his father. The Peach State budding star is very likely to be back in Austin October 19-20 for an official visit when the Horns host Georgia.

I chatted a bit with Michael Terry III after the big win over UTSA. His immediate reaction to the game: “It was definitely like no other (game), the atmosphere was crazy and everyone was hyped.” Terry is headed to a buddy’s lake house to enjoy the rest of the weekend. One Texas source indicated a lot of confidence after tonight in the hunt for the five star athlete.

Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian is on the podium following the big victory over UTSA. Of course a lot of questions will go in the direction of QB Quinn Ewers and his health moving forward. Notes and quotes in the comments below.
