I'm ok with losing out on seaton. We got another solid Tackle in Siani or possibly even a guard. As long as the line is shored up then I'm good. So far it's playing out that way. Just another starting interior OL or maybe 2

I was hoping we got an upgrade at center. I'm not a fan or Robertson. Felt like he got beat a lot. Was hoping that we got an entire new interior linemen in the portal. That's the confusing part when it comes to Cruz, I guess he wasn't good enough to man the line even after having 2 years to develop. Had really high hopes for the kid.

Personally, I don't get this extension for Jackson. Sark has been relentless to change on the defensive side, but all year our receivers struggle to catch, there hasn't been a star receiver, and yet sark decides to give the position coach an extension? The offense is a huge part of the problem, especially at receiver. I've been a huge fan and defender of Sarks, but this one doesn't make sense.

True, but if you're going to penalize byu by leaving them out due to a ccg loss then do the same with bama. Texas's record is a better 3 loss team, and should have been in over bama after that loss. The whole, "they beat Georgia", well Texas has beat a&m, ou, and vandy. Plus let's not forget that fsu loss is worse than Florida.

That just shows how screwed up the system is. Alabama doesn't deserve to be in at 10-3 if byu is out.

So maybe I missed something or don't understand, but if conference championships don't count against a team, then why would byu be out of the playoffs with the loss today? I only mention that because with that logic then why wouldn't Texas jump bama if they lose to Georgia?

If byu and bama both lose then I just can't get around the fact they'll still take bama in over Texas. I don't care that it is the conf champ game. A loss is a loss as defined by the playoff committee, and they lost to fsu, who lost to Florida. Suddenly they just magically forget about that loss? I'm mind blown by that fact 🤯

So if I understand correctly, conference championship games don't count against any team correct? For example, if bama loses then it won't put them behind Texas being a 3 loss team with their bad loss being to fsu who lost to Florida?

If Texas doesn't get in then I wonder if they'll start changing up their non con games as well. I wonder if any of the moderators have heard if Texas would look into changing those games based on the outcome of the playoff committee.

@Gerry Hamilton what is your opinion of what needs to happen to fix the problems now or in the offseason, and do you actually see any of it happening?

If that's the case then this falls on Flood. He knew what he had and had the portal to find players, but opted to pick this group instead. I don't think he's had a dominant line since he's been at Texas and he's had some great talent.

It's embarrassing. There's no excuse in the world for Texas to be this bad.

@CJ Vogel Do you ever see Chris Del Conte pushing Sark to make any coaching changes? Flood is a great developer of talent, but he's never really put together a complete o-line with the talent he's had. They are always average or falling below average. Milweed hasn't done much developing with the talent he's been given. Something's got to give.
