5-star Dia Bell wins Elite 11 MVP
Watched an interview with Chris Beard on an Ole Miss site yesterday. They asked him why he emphasizes the mid range game rather than making his players shoot nothing but "analytical" threes and lay-ups. He said the two greatest players of all time, MJ and Kobe, were greatest in the mid range.

Great manly stuff. Raja Bell v Kobe Bryant 2006.

Wisconsin sues Miami for tampering
There's already a Title IX lawsuit. It's not likely to change much. This is revenue based, not athletic opportunity based.

Max Browne on Arch Manning and Expectations
True. Buss era produced eleven titles. Best news for Lakers is that Buss children sold out. DKR era is done. VY era is done. Kobe produced more than both.

Max Browne on Arch Manning and Expectations
Seeing Arch in STL reminds of Kobe saying he was listening to AC/DC Back in Black prior to game five of 2009 NBA Finals when the Lakers beat the Magic. Arch gonna be as good as Kobe.

Worst OTF Commercial…
Commercials? Commerce makes the thing go. Might as well set up a protest.

4-star+ RB KJ Edwards commits to Texas A&M
Appears the Aggies have adopted the strategy and methods of USC.

Missouri Tabs $31 Million in NIL Spending
I was referring only to the lack of a requirement to pay the full 20.5 million in revenue share. I'm extremely dubious about the legal stability of the clearing house.

Missouri Tabs $31 Million in NIL Spending
A school is not required to pay out the full 20.5. It's up to them. That's the max they can pay through revenue sharing.

Basketball 🏀
Greatest Finals pre-game interview ever. Game 5 Lakers v Magic. Kobe wearing headphones and shooting threes. Goober asked him what he was listening to. Kobe says, AC/DC Back in Black. Goober asks why not rap. Kobe says that's real rap.

Winning at Texas is Street. No post to it.

I don't think there's any doubt the greatest college QB for a season was Joe Burrow. Next is Mac Jones or Cam Newton. Teebow. Maybe Nebraska Frazier (multiple titles). Vince beat USC. Doesn't make him better than the likes of those guys over their college careers.

I was responding to what they did "at Texas." That said, I don't really think people outside of Longhorn fans would say Vince is a top ten QB all time.
-
Texas Sports Mount Rushmore
James Street was undefeated as a starter at Texas. Makes him better than Vince.

Said it before, Think Arch will be the best football player in the world for a long while within three years. Means we need two natty's with him. Durant played at Texas. Nothing more than that. But that's a lot.

Bobby got it right. Earl was the best football player in the world from 1979-1981 . Durant best basketball player in the world from 2015-2019. Scheffler best golfer in the world from 2023-. Could argue Clemens was the best baseball player in the world at some point.

OU Tears Thread
Remove the cheating titles and they have one. Tied with Colorado and Georgia Tech. Send those criminals to the penitentiary where they belong.

Eye test counts here some. Eye says Vince better than James Street. Vince didn't win more than James. Earl eye test says he was clearly the best.

Switzer and Wilkinson cheated like crazy, as confirmed by following investigations.

Texas Sports Mount Rushmore
James Street is probably the greatest all around athlete to play at Texas.
-
Texas Sports Mount Rushmore
James Street from Longview. Earl Campbell from Tyler, TX. Throw in Pat Mahomes from Tyler. No other region can compete with that.
-
Texas Sports Mount Rushmore
James won multiple titles. Earl just flat better.
-
Texas Sports Mount Rushmore
I understand that. Vince Texas career wasn't better than Earl or James.
