  1. Great stuff and glad to hear it. With Tinney leaving, this slots in very nicely for Texas. Great pick up by the staff.
  2. Well I'm not going to continue going back and forth with you on it, so we don't clog up the thread lol. But I appreciate the back and forth, being respectful, etc. Appreciate the info, too.
  3. Glad to hear.
  4. Okay but nobody seems to be panicking about it and seems like a new hire could be in the works in a few days. I'm sure Schloss was aware of it. I just don't see it as a reason to go into full blown panic mode. Again, saying it's "no secret" but not providing any proof is still blowing smoke. I don't think Schloss would've bothered with the move to Texas if there was no investment into Baseball, which is a big deal at Texas. If you want more investment, you need to fight for it and show it. Sark had to do the same for Football. Now if it does bite us in the ass, I'll happily (or sadly) eat crow on it but right now I'm just not seeing the cause for panic.
  5. I don't understand how losing our associate head coach is cause for such a meltdown? I doubt there's not money going into the program. Schloss doesn't seem like the type of dude that would've made the move if there was no investment in the program. Unless you can provide some actual proof to that, it just seems like blowing smoke.
  6. Does the loss of the recruiting coordinator to A&M hamper going after portal targets or are they still solid in that regard?
  7. You guys covering baseball did a fantastic job. I've had a blast learning the sport and watching the games, when I used to think baseball was boring af. Great season, disappointing end and here's to hoping we come back next year even stronger.
  8. It's off-season, we don't really got a lot to talk about right now lol.
  9. He was good against us, no doubt. Biggest issue was our bats going cold. In both games. Combination of those two things = no bueno.
  10. Well that was my point. The WR coach is going to get more for a sport that pulls in more money vs a HC in a sport that doesn't. It's all relative. Plus with Patty her base salary is only 300k, the rest of it comes from private funds. At least according to a quick google search. Apparently their Softball program generates 4.1 million. So half their revenue is going toward the coach (hypothetically speaking). But they also spend more than they make at 7.7 million operating costs. Anyway, I'm just blabbing on at this point and you know what I'm talking about anyway.
  11. I mean we're talking about one of the 3 big sports at Texas vs softball. I'd have a pretty large wager that Texas Football brings in more money than Texas Softball. Regardless of how good the program is.
  12. Well good season, came to a disappointing end. Hope they hit the portal hard and upgrade. Maybe some coaching changes? Who knows. Just a very uninspiring game and finish to your season.
  13. Do we need to have Tom Herman on the sideline to beat Georgia or something?
  14. I understand Georgia has some great pitching but why are we making it this much harder on ourselves? This two games in a row against them we've struggled to do much of anything at bat.
  15. All I'm saying is it's a pretty thing line lol.
  16. I mean it's not like the NFL is some great moral ground tbh.
  17. Isn't some of the stuff he's done considered point shaving? Unless I'm just stupid and it's not lol.
  18. I guess he didn't bet on that....
  19. Is this before we see who leaves or just in general?
  20. Tough game for them to not show up to. Can't afford to play like this against great competition. Georgia had some really good pitching and took advantage of opportunities with their bats. Game got away from us at the end but I think Georgia was in full control from the get go. Anyway, gotta shake it off and take it to Bama.
  21. Can Georgia stop kicking our ass in sports? Please and thank you lol.
