More training content! Season is a few weeks away.

Preseason rankings are out for this upcoming season: No Texas. Expected. I expect they’ll get into the final ranking in the end of the season if all goes according to plan.

Expectations for year one should be to compete in the top 4-8 range of the SEC make the tournament and win a game or two within a few years I expect Coach Bayes will have Texas in the top echelons of the Sport contending for National Championships.

Games will be on SEC Network at SEC+ for conference. Noncon games are probably gonna be on ESPN+ for the most part.

Here we go!

Ava McDonald is really the star. SEC Freshmen of the Year. All-SEC Honors. Team was bad last year. With a lot of the infusion of portalers we’ll get a better sense in the exhibitions on what they have.

The adjustments

OU is kinda cooked in this era. They aren’t spending big in softball NIL wise and not portaling in big time kids. She’s good from HS but how many times have five stars flamed out (look at Bordi)

Here is the schedule for Year One of the Bates era

For those unaware here is the New soccer coach entering her first year hailing from UCLA where she won a National Championship.

Since we are almost to August that means Texas athletics is on the horizon. First sport up is Soccer! And with the hiring of a New Coach (National Champion at UCLA) Coach Bates. schedule has already been released and Texas has infused a bunch of new transfers into the program. Expectations are to compete in the SEC and win some tournament games.

Can they now finish the schedule with some big matchups? The noncon is solid but not challenging enough in my opinion.
