If you’re signing top‑10 classes every year, you don’t turn around and portal over them - that’s how you kill your own pipeline. And he’s right: if recruits think you’re just going to replace them with mercenaries, they’ll stop coming. Tech’s model works only as long as the money hose stays open. They’re basically renting other schools’ finished products. No top recruit is choosing that over a place that actually develops players. White will portal, but he’s not doing the “replace half the roster” thing. He’ll be targeted - probably a pitcher, maybe a bat, maybe a utility defender.
