Chendall Weaver to Houston
I agree. But I would still like to have him on my team -- off the bench he might spark a win or two, and in practice, he would be a versatile asset.

Chendall Weaver to Houston
He would make an excellent 11th man!

Chendall Weaver to Houston
Houston's roster gain and our loss. Who wouldn't want Chendall Weaver on their team? I know, I know.....we don't have room for him.

Live thread: Fall camp Day 1
I'm concerned about Gerry. You know, a lot of people who live in their cars, are unaware of the dangers of hot mayo. If he comes down with some kind of food poisoning, he could miss these so-very-crucial first days of practice....not to mention some of the way-too-early basketball reporting.

Discussion: All-time clutch Texas moments
I was there in the student section also. Texas was defending National Champ and ranked No. 1 to start the year. We were behind and it was late in the game. The student section was on its feet and collectively started stomping on the aluminum bleacher seats, demanding a win -- and Speyrer came through with yet another heroic 45 yard pass play. The crowd went crazy.

Discussion: Fastest football players at Texas
I was at the '76 State Track Meet also. His anchor leg on the mile relay was thrilling.

Discussion: Fastest football players at Texas
What's the name of the defensive back who transferred to Texas Tech his junior year? One of the fastest high school 100 meters ever.

Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby - oh boy!!!
Wowser, what are the odds of this happening?

Aggys jokes make themselves
Hey nobody said anything about being fair to the Aggies, much less completely fair. But congratulations to your cousin. (Even though, I personally would never admit to having an Arkansas cousin.)

OTF update: Dailyn Swain (Thursday 6:20pm CT)
The transition from truly pure point guard to the kind of combo guard Gerry has described began in earnest with the advent of the Triangle offense Phil Jackson/Tex Winter pioneered in the Chicago Bulls/Michael Jordan era.

Live updates: Sean Miller, Texas players after loss to Purdue
They gave it their full effort. A lot of what-ifs and just-nearly's. Purdue was a very experienced team and their two big men were smart veterans, and that really showed.....enough to barely edge us. Tramon carried us. Swain was swarmed by the defense. We weren't going to beat the next team, even if it was Arkansas, especially being so hobbled.

If you have $150k laying around...
Now that's just ridiculous -- Gerry could never drive to Thailand.

T' Vondre Sweat traded
Yeah, well one weekend I spent a month in Trenton, and I was sad.

Three takeaways from Texas grinding out an 84-75 win over South Carolina
You nailed it -- all three of those players have something in common. We cannot defend a really quick, strong, mobile guard. Well, maybe if we played Chendall Weaver the whole game.
