Worried about Arch.
How about now? I believe Arch can pull it together, but I’m extremely disturbed by most how bad he was against UTEP. It was surreal.

Change the Narrative vs UF
Sark’s gameplan was as bad as Arch’s execution of it. Where was the creativity? I’m baffled.

On a positive note
Everything was good enough - with the exceptions of Sark and Arch

Steve Sarkisian Post-Game Press Conference (Ohio State)
The lack of creativity from Sark is baffling. Of all games to her in your bag, it’s this one. Instead he went mayo on white bread.

I listen to all of it. In the car. While walking, working out, or doing pretty much anything that doesn’t require my full attention.

Ohio St. names Sayin as starter
Lol. Sure it will.

Ohio St. names Sayin as starter
If replacing the entire starting DL doesn’t count as reworked, I’m not sure what qualifies.

Ohio St. names Sayin as starter
My point is that they are practicing against a completely reworked DL. It reminds me of some recent year (Maybe first year Sark) when we all thought our DL was the strength of the team and going to be awesome only to learn during the season that they, in fact, were a bad DL that had been whooping up on an even worse OL in practices. Turned out the practice reports were deceiving.

Reshuffling on the OL (Monday 1:50 p.m.)
Searching for a contingency plan in the event of be a real Goosby injury? That’s due diligence. That’s smart. They believe Goosby is a known quantity. No reason not to take this time to address what I think we all can agree (including Sark) is the one area of concern on the team. Backup OL - tackle in particular. I’d be concerned if they weren’t actively working on that issue.

Ohio St. names Sayin as starter
How do we know this? They are being measured right now against a completely new DL that isn’t as talented or as deep as the Texas DL.

Ohio St. names Sayin as starter
We all have our opinions. That one is probably shared by most Ohio St fans. Bias is real and unavoidable really. It’s only my opinions that are pristine and unbiased 😉

Who has the edge going into 8/30?
The things separate these teams, IMO: 1. Manning > Sayin 2. Texas D > Ohio St D 3. Long term coaching continuity v. two new DCs On the Ohio State side of the ledger, they have home field and the best collection of receiving talent in the nation. The counter to those realities is Texas has been excellent on the road under Sark (see Bama and Michigan the past two seasons) and Texas has arguably the best collection of pass rushers in the nation going up against a re-worked OL, which will make utilizing those weapons difficult. Texas is a low scoring affair. 23-16

Manning > Sayin At the end of the day, that's going to be the difference, along with Texas having the best defense in college football. IMO 😉

Ohio State news and notes (Updated Sunday 10:10 AM)
The owner of a big Texas site has an Ohio State source telling him that Sayin is turnover prone. What say you to that?

Ohio St. names Sayin as starter
No way is he ready for this Texas D. If they can't run the ball, they are toast. Guess what? They won't be able to run the ball. If Arch plays a solid game and doesn't turn the ball over, we win.

What to expect from Texas based on résumés of previous AP Top 25 preseason No. 1 teams
Good stuff Jeff. What this data tells me is that Texas has a very high liklihood of winning 10 games and making the CFP. If you told me right now we'd go 10-2 and make the CFP, I'd take it.

AP Poll Release Proves the Point of the SEC's 8-Game Conference Schedule
CJ put data out there. The 8 game conference schedules already produce far more difficult strengths of schedule. Until and unless the committee comes up with something concrete to account for strength of schedule when looking at win-loss records and playoff seeding, I don't expect anything to change.

FOX CFB Hype Machine Gearing Up for 8/30
Texas coaches saw a problem at DT, so they resoundingly addressed it in the portal with 5 DT signings. The Texas coaches clearly didn't see a problem at OL, reflected by zero activity in the portal. To me, this signals the coaches like what they have at OL, which is good enough for me. This staff has earned my trust.

Ohio State news and notes (Updated Sunday 10:10 AM)
The idea that Ohio State is going to score 31 points on this Texas D is wishful thinking at best.

CJ Baxter may need a lot more time....
Sark has addressed this. He won't rush C4 back.

Texas is No. 1 in the preseason Coaches Poll
Embrace it. Sark's experience at Bama should help tremendously in how to handle it.
