Pops is a great coach, an awesome man and an awesome representative of an open mind, free thinking and compassionate culture I wish we could be. Tim Duncan did not make Pop’s a great coach. It was the culture built by good coaching, great draft picks and heady international acquisitions. Both Dallas and Golden State have followed the blueprint of Pop’s strategic way of navigating an NBA team in a smaller market(Golden State isn’t such a small market I know).

Well… it is harder for him to be a bust when he got drafted in the 7th round. He might actually surprise folks a bit. Miami is a good spot for him to land.

Prayers up for Henry Milton. It has to be hard to heal your heart when your mom has just passed. Hope the big fellah has an amazing recovery.

I will take Houston just because I want Texas teams holding court in Texas and I want Sampson to win one finally.Much better to do so with Houston than Oklahoma… I hated him then.

Man… I thought Houston was toast. It reminded me of the Lady Horns against South Carolina. But… instead of sitting down on the bench and looking miserable, Sampson stayed on his kids, encouraging them, coaching them up until the end… and the end was mind blowing.

Kelvin Sampson is a freakkn’ wizard. Unbelievable team effort to come from behind and take the lead no matter how this game turns out.

If we add two more guards and two more bigs this roster will be deep and athletic.

The commentators are lame… way too casual. Why do we have to look at them the whole time?

Good role players with talent make for good team chemistry. A little underwhelming at first but I am going to trust in Miller until proven otherwise. Sounds like he was valued and had options.
