  1. Gasparino flies out to center to end the inning. Three runs on three hits with two left on base for the Longhorns in the eighth.
  2. Borba is retired. Two down for Gasparino.

  4. And Schuess comes through. A two-run single to right and Texas has an 11-7 lead.
  5. Rizy is the eighth pitcher of the night used by LSU and Jay Johnson.
  6. And that's it for Beck. Mavrick Rizy will make his ninth appearance of the season for LSU.
  7. Rodriguez walks. Bases loaded, one out for Schuessler. It feels like Kimble is due for a big hit.

  9. LSU brought Jacob Mayers into the game. He gave up the hit to Flores, walked Galvan and left with Rodriguez ahead in the count, 2-0. Dalton Beck is the new pitcher for the Tigers.
  10. Flores pokes one up the middle and into center. With the infield drawn in, there's no play to be made. Texas has a 9-7 lead over LSU.
  11. Dickinson looks Mendoza back to third on a ground ball by Belyeu against a drawn-in infield.
  12. Mendoza puts one into the right-field corner. Pearson gets charged with a two-base error, putting Mendoa on third with to lead off the bottom of the eighth.
  13. Volantis does his job. He gets Curiel to ground out to short to get the game to the ninth with Texas still out in front.
  14. Grubbs rings up Stanfield and that's it for him. Nice job by the veteran.
  15. Grubbs enters the eighth with 59 pitches under his belt.
  16. Farmer grounds out to second to end the inning, but not after Rodriguez crossed the plate to help Texas take an 8-7 lead to the eighth inning.
