Mansfield Summit EDGE Cameron Hall became the fourth prospect to join the 2027 Texas recruiting class when he committed to the Longhorns on Wednesday. The 6-foot-3-inch. 235-pound Hall is the first high school defensive prospect to commit to Texas since Steve Sarkisian hired Will Muschamp as the program’s defensive coordinator in December. Hall picked the Longhorns over recent offers from Arkansas, Kentucky, Nebraska, Stanford and Wisconsin. He included Texas among his top 12 schools on Nov. 27, a group that included Arizona State, Baylor, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, SMU, TCU, Texas A&M and Texas Tech. After recording 40 tackles, six tackles for loss, four sacks and two forced fumbles as a sophomore, Hall racked up 46 tackles, 18 tackles for loss and 10 sacks as a junior. He was named District 3-5A DII Defensive Player of the Year, an award voted on by the district's head coaches. Miller: "Our defense fueled our offense and picked up the tempo."

Miller: "It's not comfortable when you're losing and playing hard... You can lose confidence when you lose the game. When you win a game... Learn from it, grow from it... Our next opportunity is at Auburn... Going into that game with some confidence is really good for our team."

Miller: "We can be a much better team if we foul less." Georgia was 17-for-25 from the foul line.

Miller: "We're going to be playing meaningful games in March."

Miller: "We're going to be in this all the way to the end. We're going to fight to the end."

Miller said the guards did a great job handling Georgia's pressure. He noted the guards combining for only five turnovers in 40 minutes.

Miller is pointing out that Matas deserves credit for putting a sub-par second half behind him and delivering in the first half.

Coming back from Kentucky, Miller said the team has a had a couple of good days and prepared hard to win this game. That's what led to the disappointment at halftime.

Miller said halftime was a moment of truth for this team's season. He credited Mark, Swain and Matas (Miller let the cat out of the bag that Matas was the key starter who was under the weather) for leading the second-half charge.

Texas was down by seven at halftime. Swain said Miller challenged the team, telling them, "You can fold now if you want. But we've got a long season. If you've got some dog in you, you'll fight."
