Schlossnagle talks Jonah Williams plan for spring
That was a fun fact that baseball games, no matter how long, only count 3 hours towards a 20 hour limit.

Dabo goes scorched earth
We didn't even try Harris Sewell? Disappointed to not be in the rant.

College Gameday: OU at Texas February 1! Women's hoops!
Oh, she's good for sure, so I hope her worst career games are vs us and whoever knocks 0u out of the tourney. Competitors want to win! Besides, who are the most recent "face of the sooners" players to want to emulate? Baker? Trae? AP? OK, that's another thread.

Give Us Your Thoughts!
Repeating past feedback, for those that can't watch hours of content, create snackable 3 minutes highlights ala Klatt. As far as getting on the record answers from coaches, I'm not sure if Sark or Bianco have a penalty box for questioning specific hot topics, but I have a few suggestions when you get availability: Sark or Flood - looking at advanced metrics like FEI, the offense has been ranked outside of the top 15 for the past 3 seasons. Early down success, 3rd down conversions, and red area have been challenges. While Texas has had championship caliber defenses, usually holding teams to our 20 pt target, the offense hasn't been as consistent. Do you agree, and how have staff and roster changes been prioritized to improve? (Bonus: "even though fans are excited to have Will back, many are asking if Saban or Carrol would have changed OC after last year instead of DC?") Hero Kanu - how does Texas S&C compare to Ohio State? What's similar, what's different, what's better at Texas? Banks - how do you measure championship caliber special teams, and what do you want to see improve this year?

2027 NFL Draft: Littered with Longhorns (ESPN)
About the minimum # for a championship caliber roster. Really want to double that to be a monster, right?

Bray Lynch
He doesn't want back to back titles + blocking for back to back heisman winners + winning another title with his Westlake teammates + use of a moody suite by his friends and family for the Journey and Chicago/Styx concerts? Sheesh he usually nasty lineman.

CFP National Championship Game (Indiana vs Miami)
Kicker did what was reasonable to expect he'd do, screw up - so not the right call!

CFP National Championship Game (Indiana vs Miami)
career 2-6 from 50+, 22-33 40-49. So, no. But the "starter" isn't much better, so big game Mario strikes again.

A change might be coming with Flood
Even if not right, +1 for the last line

DID HE REQUEST TO ENTER THE PORTAL?!?
Well, watching Xavier Lucas, Damon Wilson, the recent kid who "flipped" to Michigan after allegedly being an on campus "short-term signee" at Utah, the Husky QB "j/k" boomerang, etc.... Maybe our guy is just lawyering up for a June move?!

Starting quality OL
RG Bray Lynch (Westlake/Indiana, #63 ranked IOL in '22 behind Brunner, Neto, etc) caliber players may be out there in portalville. Funny that James Brockermeyer, on his 3rd school, will be starting on the other OL. Someone just needs to want to block for Arch and get a bunch of scouts' eyes on himself for free. Hopefully it's not harder than that.

Is Notre Dame the team to beat next year (If Marcus Freeman returns)?
Don't underestimate NDs ability to drop one of their first 3, though probably not game 2!

Whittingham hire and Lee
Ergo, do we want Harding or Newsome? On a side note, I has no idea Michigan picked up Kerry Coombs. I'm guessing he doesn't send Christmas cards to Ryan Day.

Adam Loewy’s not sold.
I don't get the need for a sponsor to try a case in public against the team he roots for.

"Big Name" RBs that Bobby is hinting that may hit the portal
Why not fish a lower tier pool. Cam Cook already resting up for a portal run. UNT right up the street. Endless possibilities.

Michigan opt outs for the Citrus Bowl
"Opt outs" too close to "opts out" - Before even clicking the thread, I went straight to searching news! Got suckered for sure, should have never doubted the character of Michigan.

Notre Dame Opts Out Bowl Game
Its worse. They would have taken Miami's spot contractually instead of a head to head cfp decision where they lost on the field. And haven forbid we're #10/11 next year and get bumped by them + some combo of a weak ACC champ or 2nd G5 Champ or 2nd place ACC/B12 team.

College Football Playoff Selection Show Thread
I'd like the committee to be able to change seeds to avoid rematches as much as possible. Swap Bama and Miami, Tulane and JMU. Punishes the 1st match loser. On the plus side, no ohio state/ Indiana rematch until the title game, though Indiana will probably face the Ducks after the NIL bowl if they beat Tech. And, maybe that's how ND was dropped (head to head Miami loss along with an Aggie matchup).

Neal Brown is the new North Texas head coach
Denton America? W t actual f?!

Jared Curtis flips to Vandy
1. UGA isn't 2010s Bama. 2. They don't need an NFL QB.

DeBoer
Agree on a HC needing to be obsessed and have no hobbies or anything distracting outside of football. The wandering eye for other jobs is hopefully just speculation, and he also needs to fire his OC and promote the part time big game analyst, that guy's a genius.
