how would you compare him to Fasusi, Turntine? and how do OTF rankings compare him and Swanson? Just trying to get an idea of relative talent to last few cycles

Man, they had to really go over the top for that one, I would think. From everything I've heard from OTF, Schumaker and Tyler Alexander are not similar players. Shumaker is a top 50, top 100 talent from my understanding. My guess is they would have preferred him over Alexander - does this mean Colorado just went WAY over the top? I assume Texas had Shumaker >>> Alexander

Very well written Jeff. The whole thing is tiresome man. However I have to say that if you're in Tech position, you've played your cards pretty perfectly on this one. Clearly the goal was to paint Texas as a villain. The goal was to do all the things that you said. The more I think about it, I can't blame them for responding the way they are. In some ways it's working out in their favor perfectly — media buzz. I kind of felt the same way about the criticisms thrown at tech, at their desperation to be relevant. Of course..what college football program doesn't want to be relevant? What program doesn't want to take advantage of all possible avenues to try to be more relevant, especially if they’re not a blue blood?

OL such a tough position to make decisions on these days with the dead money risk. I don’t envy the staff.

seeing Matas in person — gave me fresh respect. it’s hard to put a finger on but he’s a such a handful in the trenches and has this odd skill about him. his limitations are what they are but id always take a guy like that. he would be just what the doctor ordered of someone he could have actually played for Barnes toughness wise.

I really enjoyed that this season on other networks like Film Guy. So thankful to have OTF!

What a win on the road for the Miller Era. That being said, this is one of the worst defensive teams in recent memory. We are far from the junkyard Barnes defenses. Granted, also far from some of those offenses 😆 hook em! Hopefully this gets some momentum.
