I'm a bit surprised by Fakatou saying if it wasn't Ohio State it would have been Georgia. Seemed like from all reports Texas was in second place at worst. @Gerry Hamilton Are you surprised by that at all?

Very respectful to Texas and Coach Clark, but yeah - not clear why we were 3rd.

I never said Texas wouldn’t be fine without him. I was just surprised to see Texas running third behind Georgia, considering that for most of his recruitment leading up to commitment day, the consensus was that it was primarily a Texas vs. Ohio State battle, with Ohio State holding the slight edge.

Agree, he seems like a very mature kid. As long as he’s not playing against Texas, he’s an easy guy to root for.

That's surprising. A lot of reports suggested that it was between Ohio State and Texas, with Georgia being a distant 3rd. 

Think it came down to coaches that have been there longer. And have a lot of skins on the wall. Coach Johnson at OSU of course he loved. Coach Scott at Georgia put a lot in the NFL since he has been there.

Sure he liked Coach Baker and Clark. But just not enough on the resume compared to the other 2. But they are getting there for sure. And should have more in the NFL come 2027. 

LaAllen came from anOSU last year.  Baker has been here just over 3 years  Texas has put 2 DL in the NFL every year the last 4 years.

Something does not add up.
