My older brother went to UT from 1963 to 1967. My first Longhorn game was vs. Arkansas in Austin. My main memories of that game were all the cowbells and the "Woooo Pig Sooie" calls. I really started following the games on the radio in 1968 when some backup named Street started creating magic with the Wishbone. By the end of 68 they were the best team in the nation.

The call was terrible, but that sort of behavior is unacceptable. Everyone that threw a bottle should be fined by the university.

I remember it well. It's a big deal when the president's helicopter lands just outside the stadium before kickoff, and then he comes into the winner's locker room with his own #1 plaque to present. And oh yea, the teams are ranked #1 and #2. The Horns played terrible for 3 quarters and woke up early in the 4th quarter.
