Texas ran 16 straight rush attempts in team setting today with no passes. All about emphasizing the physicality in the run game.

Sarkisian says the physicality of the running backs is really brought out in pass protection.

First scrimmage is on Saturday — as expected.

Sarkisian says it’s one of the better teams he’s had when it comes to being player led so far. Arch Manning, Trevor Goosby, Colin Simmons, Connor Robertson, Jelani McDonald and Derek Williams Jr. all singled out.

On preventing penalties on fall camp: ”we all take responsibility for that.” Sark says it’s up to him on educating his team about why penalties are being called and how they need to prevent them. Sunday included a good, Bad and Ugly cut up on penalties from the first four practices.

Texas will be full pads Tuesday night.

Kanu says he got up to 318 this spring. Currently sits at 312ish

Kanu says to have a championship team you have to have selfless people. Says at the end of the day, it’s all about having depth and building culture to allow for competition to drive the roster.
