I love the move personally. Sark wants an attacking defense like Kirby fields at Georgia. Nobody better than Coach Boom to roll it out. This is about getting Texas over the Georgia hump and winning it all. Very gutsy move by Sark. But I hope he is prepared to go ALL IN on his side of the ball too, because his offenses have not been even close to good enough since he’s been at Texas.

IMO they need both. Having a Blue AND a Bond on the field at the same time is what could make this offense truly scary.

That is absolute insanity. Maybe he turns out to be an elite level QB, but to pay $3 million to a guy who hasn’t thrown for more than 600 yards and 1 td in a season and has a career rating of 135, that’s a huge gamble. They’re paying this unproven qb double what Colin Simmons and Ant Hill made this year. Surely Baugh won’t accept much less than that now. If he stays, those two players alone are going to drain the NIL coffers. Edit: also can’t speak to the legitimacy of the source. No UF sites are corroborating yet, although they do indicate that UF is targeting him as their primary QB.

I subscribe to the belief that nothing good ever comes from A&M and OU having success—EVER. That being said, part of me wants both of them to destroy Miami and Alabama to make the CFP committee’s decision to omit Texas look terrible. We completely dismantled those two teams, so their success makes us look good by comparison. Let them both get to the quarterfinals and then get stomped by IU and OSU.

It sounds like UF is throwing some serious money at Baugh to try and keep him. Need that Lambo of Austin to step up!

Wow…shocking. I guess he was losing snaps to T Smith. But we really could have used his experience next year. LB suddenly became a major portal need.

He was on the all-SEC freshman team in 2023 and had a good year this season.

First team was David Bailey and Cashius Howell. I think Simmons is better than either of them, but I can at least understand it. Second team was John Henry Daley (okay, I get it…he had a ton of production this year) and Rueben Bain. Bain makes NO sense. They clearly wanted to reward his career, not his season. The dude had 4.5 sacks!!!! Great talent, but Simmons had a demonstrably better year. Third team was Caden Curry (I get it, awesome player, but they are clearly rewarding him for being a senior) and some dude from Western Michigan with 14.5 sacks (let’s see him do it against P4 competition). You can rationalize all their selections, but the reality is that it’s a joke.

I agree with this. Lacy is a potential homerun, but I think we need a bigger, more bruising back to pair with Wisner (assuming he comes back). If Wisner goes pro, maybe Cooper can fill that bruiser role, in which case maybe we target Lacy.

OTF has totally nailed this market. The videos are short, digestible, informative, but also funny and engaging. It’s all Texas all the time. The information is well-sourced without being reactive or rumor-mongering. The mods/show hosts are professional and laser-focused on their unique product. Not going to bash other sites by name, but they are all some combination of off-topic, corny, boring, unappealing personalities, lazy reporting, or toxic. I’ve tried them all and this is far and away the best place to be. As long as Bobby and team keep this site going, I’ll be a subscriber for life.
