IU-UT Major Differences
Indiana proving that a bye doesnโt have to create rust. Well-coached, disciplined, focused team. Very impressive.

These Bowls are literally self deprecating
Now that the die is cast, there is a lot of value for a team to play an extra competitive game. Experience for players AND coaches. Culture. Revenue. Another chance for fans to see their team play. Itโs a business and there is value for next year. I want to see arch a bit more and to see more of Lacey. I want to see more Simon. I want the seniors to pass on a culture moment to the younger players. I want the coaches to experiment.

Notre Dame Opts Out Bowl Game
The committee showed this year they they donโt have an issue moving ND a spot (or more) at the last minute. Canโt wait until next year when ND is 12 going into final weekend and end up 13. ๐คช

College Football Playoff Selection Show Thread
Oregon is waayyy more at risk of a huge injury than a loss in that game. They will look to get second and third string in as quickly as possible.

Why not texas ??
Looks like it should just be Indiana v Georgia this year. Watch the committee mess this one up too and put them both in the same semifinal.

If Bama is excluded
If you think about it, that canโt always be true. It only works if your resume as an at large team stands on its own. If it didnโt matter than no one would switch positions. It does matter - they just want to artificially control how big or little it matters. If Miami was correctly put in ahead of ND and played in the ACC championship and lost, they would have been knocked out of the CFP. Every game has to matter (I mean it should).

Texas -v- Michigan in Citrus Bowl?
Ironically, a Texas-Michigan bowl game will be just fine to the CFP committee - if anything, they could view it as making it easier to leave Texas out of the CFP this year.

Latest AP Top 25 Poll | End of Regular Season
This poll is ridiculous on so many levels. In addition to Texas, how can anyone look at resume and put Notre Dame ahead of Alabama. Both 2-loss teams. They do it because they aren't looking at the resume - they're looking at eye candy. Is ND a more complete team than Alabama? Probably. But, who has proven it on the field against top competition. Alabama. ND hasn't. I'm not an Alabama supporter, but it's just another example of the stupidity of these polls. So, are we being penalized because we let Vandy come back (aided significantly by terrible calls by the refs)? I'm confident we would have had enough votes to be ahead of Vandy if we had won by 21. Just more stupidity. Diego is a beast and he - like Skat for ASU last year - will keep Vandy in every game they play.

SEC Championship
Looks like, if we win out, we may not make the champ game, but would be in the CFP. If we lose another game, we're likely 4th or 5th team in SEC which likely means on CFP. While it's possible - with chaos - that we're better than 4th, chaos would mean that the SEC risks only getting 3 teams in too. I like winning out. If we can beat Georgia and A&M (and Ark), then we should feel confident about our ability to win it all.

3 Stars of the Game vs. Mississippi State
We've only had Mosley for several games at this point and his "ramp-up" seems to be about over. He'll continue to get better, but whatever rust from not getting live game action seems to be gone. Having Baxter and Mosley back is monumental - if for no other reason it puts more pressure on defenses as to who to cover.

Bo Davis... Regret?
Given the Saints' record, maybe the question to Bo still stands?

Snap Judgments: Texas defies the odds and saves its season with a 45-38 overtime win over Mississippi State
Letโs not forget that this young team just went on the road. In the SEC. For a month. Won 3 of 4 against teams that were good but beatable. Sure, we all wanted to see us win 4 and looking like a seasoned team doing it. But, they won 3 of 4. Thatโs a tough stretch for any team. Doesnโt excuse their big problems on offense, but thereโs a difficulty factor that makes this survive and advance impressive.

Titans / NFL HC Interest
My view. No way this came from Sarkโs camp. If the Titans want him for example, why not let it slip out, particularly if they donโt think they have a good shot to get him otherwise. Create noise knowing some will try and keep him at Texas and some want a change. I personally dont want him to leave with unfinished business.

Let's say Kiffin takes the job, what is the level of concern that it will impact any of our Florida commits/targets for 2026?

Napier Fired
This is going to be a crazy offseason for coaching moves, assistant coaches getting recruited and portal movement. It could be the craziest offseason yet give the big name programs that are all involved the same year. Wow.

What is the contingency plan?
At the very least, Caldwell gives a fresh look to the defense and may get throw them off a bit. If even just to give Arch a break from getting pummeled play after play. Particularly if it is causing UTEP Arch tendencies to come back. All hands on deck.

Thoughts on the Texas offense tonight
In any game where we look like weโre getting โUTEP Archโ as Gerry so effectively put it, we need to put Caldwell in to at least throw off the opposing defense. He may not be as talented as Arch (so people say who are closer than I am), but every team is going to make Arch beat us now and take the run away. Every game will be like last night if signs of UTEP Arch appear.again. I sure hope we never see signs of UTEP Arch again. I really want him to grow and succeed. But I also want to get the personnel on the field to win the game.
