I’m not opposed to kicking someone while they’re down. Anyone would love to kick Texas if they were down. We need to go in there and play.

Michigan knew of this is mid November and didn’t do anything until yesterday. I guess to save their recruiting class…..which did you really save it when alot of them leave? Or they were still in the playoff hunt back then and didn’t want to interfere with that. Either way it’s really bad to let someone stay on knowing what he’d done. It’s not looking good for the ole Blue.

Whether we are in or out this year, I am not for sure choosing a playoff bracket is ever going to be fair. Too much difference in the conferences and too much difference in the scheduling. Some teams have an extra hard game with a conference championship game and some don’t. Some don’t even have a conference. When it was 4 teams, 5,6,and 7 were arguing they should be in. I said if you go to 12, 13,14,and 15 will be arguing. You go to 16 or 18 and the same thing will happen. And alot of them have arguments. We’re just all different and it’s never going to be totally fair. Especially you have humans deciding it and the biases start coming in. Nobody that has ever been at Arkansas in any capacity is ever going to vote for Texas to be in. I guess play a weak schedule and win all the games and they can’t keep you out.

I’m not advocating for Texas Tech. I am saying that is what college football has become.

What a world. Texas Tech is a middle of the pack Big 12 team and in one year spend $28 million….probably more….and now the #4 team in the college playoffs and a first round bye. What a world.

Georgia is going to do Alabama the same way they do us. We need to gear all our efforts……recruiting, portal, coaching hires…..everything in being able to play with and beat Georgia. Them and Ohio State are the standard.

I’m not scared to play anyone in the country, but in today college football it makes no sense to schedule an Ohio State. The goal is to be in the top 12 at the end of the year. With SEC going to a 9 game schedule plus if you’re good enough to get in the conference championship you will likely end up playing Georgia twice in one year. With this portal and NIL, every game in the SEC is tough……especially on the road. We were within a couple eyelashes of losing two more games to the bottom half of the conference. Another thing is we’re one of the only teams in the country that has 3 rivalry games where the 3 teams hate us more than anything in the world. It’s really hard to win those 3 rivalry games every year. We’re the one rivalry for OU, A&M, and Arkansas. They’re 3 for us. I don’t care what kind of team you have. It’s going to be hard to sweep those 3 every year. If the playoffs expand to 16 teams, then maybe there will be several 3 loss teams in there. So more leeway. The landscape now isn’t set up to open up with a top team in the country out of conference. I wish it was but it’s not.
