Updated SEC availability report (Friday, 7:28 p.m.)
The young man tore virtually every ligament in his knee 13 months ago and has killed himself in rehab over the past year while also being one the best team leaders, keeping a nonstop positive attitude. How bout focusing on his character and how hard he’s working to contribute, despite his setbacks, rather than posting this nonsense? Hook em!! 🧡🤘🏼🐂

Score Prediction
I predict this will be Arch’s true coming out party with Moore, Wingo, Livingstone and the RB committee playing up to the competition. Texas - 31 Florida - 24

Sark is on the Hot Seat
Omg, are you serious with this post?. We’re the only team in all of college that’s made the ‘final four’ in the playoffs the past two years, we’ve had 4 consecutive years of Top 5 recruiting, Sark is one of the most innovative play designers / callers in country and he’s working with a young offense who shoukd build momentum through the next 2 months.

SEC Shorts
Classic. Paternity Test (Bama’s your daddy) and Vandy Pimp were greatness.

Wow, Ole Miss with win over LSU is BIG!
The next few weeks of Texas football will be big in defining whether our offense (with all our starters back and Arch playing more consistently) is a Top 10 offense to match our Top 5 defense. Arch, CJ, Tre, DMo, Mosley, Parker, Wingo, Endries, etc. If the OL can be good (don’t have to be great with Arch’s ability to move in pocket), lots of things need to improve but reason to believe. Look forward to the journey. Bottom line, with everyone getting healthy…….that’s a $h!+ ton of talent for the Horns offense at all the skill positions and we should be scoring 40 pts/game. If that happens, other SEC top teams will keep knocking each other off as our trajectory takes us to a Top 5 ranking by Nov and the SeC Championship Game. Hoping for sustained good health and positive steps each week over the next 2 months, leading up to Georgia and A&M games. Hook em!! 🧡🐂🤘🏼

Wow, Ole Miss with win over LSU is BIG!
Love it. LSU has great defense but offense struggling. We can relate/.

Great upset win for Virginia over FSU in 2OT
Some tough instant replay calls that could have gone either way but I love how the ACC started making the instant replay officials mic’d up. Makes those couple of mins way more interesting to hear their actual thought process. A+ for transparency.

Arch's career so far at Texas
Setting up to be a great multi-year career for Arch as starter on the 40-acres. Slow start blessing in disguise, imho. Growth through early adversity. Team has his back. Media expectations lowered. Everyone now appreciates he’s human. Arrow pointing up. Stage is set for 2yr magical run, including a more bumps, bruises, adversity, growth along the way. Hook em!! 🧡🤘🏼🐂

Mateer thumb injury?
Many things starting to line up for magical run by the Horns. 1. Underperformance in first 3 games followed by ‘confidence builder’ in game 4 has momentum shifting and team growing stronger through adversity. No overconfidence, focus on the details should be high. 2) Longhorn health in very good place going into conference play. Everyone back over next few weeks. 3) Upcoming opponents health and momentum moving in wrong direction at right time, especially at most important position. 4) Longhorns and Arch no longer a favorite by the media. Pressure is off, expectations lowered (no more talk of being national championship favorites or Heisman favorite) 5) Feels like the Horns can get all their star power on the field at the right time, let loose, have fun, go win big. Hook em!! 🧡🤘🏼🐂

Mike Gundy Fired
Will Napier be next if/when Texas and Arch drop the Gators to 1-4? Hook em! 🧡🤘🏼🐂

Snap Judgments: Texas ends non-conference play with a much-needed confidence boost
Good stuff Jeff. Awesome way to finish non-conf play, going into the bye with lots of positive momentum. Excited for Arch and the receivers who looked much more in rhythm.

Good for Johntay Cook - 113yds receiving today
Love that Syracuse beat Clemson by 13pts and Johntay Cook led all receivers on the day with 6 catches for 113yds. Hated to see JC fall so fast with multiple bad choices last year. Great to see him having success.

Scotland Trip Recommendations
In addition to Scotland being one of our favorite places to visit, the other ‘must visit’ trip I highly recommend is Switzerland. We’ve taken the family twice now in the past few yrs. Couldn’t get enough of it the first time. So many incredible places (Lake Lucerne, Zurich, Bern, etc) but our absolute favorite is the slow pace chilled out simplicity of Innerlaken with small town atmosphere, great food, bright green rivers, paragliding down to the park, all surrounded by the Swiss Alps. Absolutely amazing. Can’t wait to go back again.

Scotland Trip Recommendations
We rented a car this summer with Edinburgh as home base. The Harry Potter tour is great, even for adults. A must is driving from Edinburgh to St Andrews then do the half-day tour, starting at the infamous 18th hole. Chocolate making tour in Edinburgh was excellent. So was the High-end Whiskey tasting tour. You can book them through AirBnB ‘Experiences’. Pretty cool feature we started using on travel the past couple years.

Adversity reveals character and creates opportunity…
With Sam Houston game coming up then 2-weeks before Florida, that gives our boys 3 weeks to turn things around. The optimist in me wants to believe Option 3 has 50% chance, given number of high character guys in the team. Hoping Sark has light switch moment over next several weeks and gets his mojo.

Adversity reveals character and creates opportunity…
Me too. 🧡🐂🤘🏼

Adversity reveals character and creates opportunity…
All great turnaround stories include big adversity and opportunity to respond / galvanize.

Adversity reveals character and creates opportunity…
As discouraged as I am as a diehard fan, I’m just an alumni, a spectator, a class of 92 bleeding orange, love my horns….fan. There are 85 young men wearing burnt orange each Saturday this fall, who’ve dreamed since they were kids of winning at the highest level. For most of them, winning probably came easy. They were superior athletes to the competition from grade school through their high school years. Now, they’ve grinded all offseason in preparation for having a ‘magical’ fall, all of us just taking for granted we’ll be going back to the playoffs. But that isn’t how it works. There are no guarantees and it takes more than talent to win. This season seems like it could go in one of three directions: 1) I hope this doesn’t become a repeat of 2010 or 2021 where we go on a death spiral losing streak on way to a 6-6 season 2) Offense is up/down all year but defense wins several close games on way to 8-4. Feels like more of the same. Sark stays stubborn and digs in, unwilling to make changes. 3) Over the next several weeks, this team (including coaches) galvanizes, comes together, Arch gets surrounded with fresh voices and everyone rediscovers the passion and fun in the game. They grow through the adversity, come together and go in a magical run to the playoffs. i sure hope for Option 3. Would make for a great turnaround story. Hook em! 🧡🐂🤘🏼

Great upset win by Georgia Tech over 1-2 Clemson
Cade Klubnik has worse stats through three games in 2025 than prior 2 years starting. S much for NC and Heisman run. Clemson may already be eliminated from playoffs, given Miami, Georgia Tech and FSU. crazy!! Loving it!! Good to see Blake Gideon’s defense look so fired up.

Kendall Guervill
Thanks @Sarah O!!!

Kendall Guervill
Gerry and CJ, Curious to get your thoughts on possible visit this fall / potential flip with Kendall Guervill, especially if Florida goes on losing streak over the next month. If it’s already been answered, I’ve been completely disconnected the past couple weeks due to recent surgery. thanks! Hook em!! 🤘🏼🐂🧡

Thank You Quinn
Quinn’s first year starting had some pretty ugly games. He improved a lot year 2 then seemed to regress final year (likely due to injuries). Arch gonna be fine.

Thoughts on No. 7 Texas' surprisingly sloppy 38-7 win over San Jose State
Actually your stats do lie. We ran for 155 yards and averaged 4.8 ypc. Not great but in most games, I’ll take 5 ypc.
