And yet you chose to politicize the issue. Brilliant! And you, of all people, don’t know that the AD and administration learned in their investigation. So don’t pretend you do.

Much like a civil jury an employer can look at the evidence and not be bound by “beyond a reasonable doubt”. When a woman leaves a panicked 911 call, has visible marks on her neck and demands an arrest that’s enough for an employer to make a call - despite her decision to retract after her attorneys reached an agreement with Beard. Just like a civil jury will often find a perpetrator guilty while a criminal jury may not.

And your point? Employers are not held to the same legal standards as criminal courts. But you know that, right?

You were trying to associate intolerance for domestic violence with a political agenda. Keep up the good work.
-
Hoops: Texas at South Carolina Game Thread
Went you equate a reaction to a domestic violence arrest to a political agenda that’s an analogy.. Do you think?
-

But you made a political analogy. Brilliant!

I don’t see this as a political issue. Sadly, whacked out extremists on both ends of the spectrum tend to turn everything they can into one. So sad.

So ok for you to make judgments. Gotcha. And I have no clue on the moral superiority of other coaches. Then again, that’s not the issue at hand. But I appreciate those who keep their names out of the police blotter for choking their girlfriends.

You seem to be casting “judgement” that Brard should be retained.

You seem to be trusting Beard. Try harder.

I trust our AD’s and administration’s judgement on the matter over yours. That’s for sure. You seem to have a “he wins basketball games, let’s look the other way” attitude here. That may work at Ole Miss or other **** schools in third world states, but not here.

Employers are not subject to the same burden of evidence as criminal courts. Are you that dense or just being obtuse?
-
Hoops: Texas at South Carolina Game Thread
You mean when the victim changed her tune after her attorneys spoke with the perpetrator’s?

Or, they had a situation where a high profile, highly paid employee who, based on their investigation, committed domestic violence, and fired him for cause. I don’t know what politics would have created a different outcome.

Point is if you have no idea what he did you shouldn’t be in a position to determine forgiveness or punishment.
-
Hoops: Texas at South Carolina Game Thread
So how do you know if they’re forgivable or not? Or what the appropriate penance is?

Did Beard admit his transgression, then seek help and forgiveness? Last I checked one admitted their sins to order to seek forgiveness.

Rodney’s rehab for off the court transgressions isn’t what I was discussing. Sadly, it appears you’re in deep need of clarification.

Sark’s path to becoming a head coach again took 6 years. Does that clarify things for you?
-
Hoops: Texas at South Carolina Game Thread
You asked why Sark deserved a second chance. I answered. This isn’t hard. Don’t make it so.

Hoops: Texas at South Carolina Game Thread
He deserved another chance after entering rehab, performing well with two different employers and staying sober.

Pretty overwhelming evidence he assaulted his girlfriend.

Yeah, he had to go.

Are they as revealing as those towards Mackovic, Brown, Herman and Pierce?
