  1. It’s always pathetic when someone says “it’s all over the interwebs” and swallows it whole.
  2. Where did I say he did it? I have no clue he did or did not. I also have no clue whether anyone did. I was simply saying that unless I was sure I wouldn’t name names. Simple as that. I don’t know how to simplify it more so you can comprehend it better. And “it must be so, it was on the internet” is ultimate conspiracy theorist trash. Try to keep up, sport.
  3. You’re making baseless claims on Stearns. That’s a pretty good start. Yes, there were rumors that recruits were told by some players not to come. But no names were ever mentioned. My guess is it was probably guys who were in the Herman doghouse for any number of issues. But I’m not going to name anyone I’m not certain they did it. Nor would I name a name and follow it up with “you do your research”. Because that translates into “I don’t have a clue, but so and so seems the type”.
  4. Because if you don’t know who was told not to come, you don’t know who did the telling either. You’re just wrapping yourself in some rumor that reinforces your animosity towards Sterns. One thing sports has taught me is politics doesn’t matter on the field. If you play hard and your teammates trust you, it’s all good by me.
  5. You said “who didn’t he tell”. That would imply he told everyone.
  6. Did he tell Bijan or Roschon not to come to UT. Since he told “everyone” and all.
  7. Who did he tell not to come to UT? And the whole Eyes of Texas issue was across the team.
  8. Actually I think Ehlinger was a Herman kind of QB whose talents were maximized.
  9. Seriously though, he probably would’ve thrived more under Sark than Herman.
  10. Is that his son with him? Seems old enough. 😜
  11. Thanks, ace! So helpful. Once more, apologies.
  12. Why did you edit my post when you quoted it? Did it hurt you badly? Once more, apologies.
  13. I didn’t mean to hurt you. Apologies.
  14. Sir, a Mr Sexton is holding on line 2…
  15. Good. OU grads have it tough enough!
  16. Hill blew a lot of stuff up that didn’t show in the stat lines. And he was still one of the leading tacklers.
  17. Jimmy Sexton on line 2…
  18. But Elko does look 64!
  19. I don’t doubt they played him because they felt he gave them their best shot at winning. No more, no less.
  20. That was the one thing I thought was off Saturday. He lost that ball for MM’s second int right before the half. Never went downfield again. Can’t help but think he lost confidence in it or just couldn’t fling it like he normally likes.
  21. Makes no sense, they just got the contract 4 months ago. Even Phil Knight wouldn’t have that quick a trigger finger.
  22. You don’t think every blue blood doesn’t follow this template? Sark won’t be here 12 years without delivering one. I don’t think Mack had much longer on his leash had he kept losing to OU and keeping us out of CCGs and BCS games. We were done with Akers after 10 years, and too many missed chances.
  23. It’s not NC or bust. Penn St is a blue blood, and they’re the only team of relevance in a populous, football crazy state (much like Oh St). Yet they’ve been a perpetual third fiddle to Mich and Oh St. He finally got them in last year as a beneficiary of the 12 team format. This year was supposed to be it, and it was an absolute disaster. This program wasn’t going to improve. If this happens in Sark’s 12 year he’ll be gone too. Now he’s got 50 million reasons to take a break and reassess.
  24. It’s probably a zero sum game. Anything he makes coaching will likely offset his severance.
