- What does the Georgia game do for recruiting?
IMO, you spend 1 day per week next 2 weeks to prepare for UGA. You dont tell the players, keep them focused. They know more than we think but keep the goal for the team to play 70+ players and get Cook, Moore, Niblack, young D guys more reps to prepare for the long 14+ game season and play a lot more in 2026. Miss St game prep week should help us prepare for the Ou offense bc they run similar style. We also have a bye week so we will have 2 weeks prepare for Ou anyway. Bobby had a good post on this yesterday i think.- 2026 4-star safety Zelus Hicks announcing September 12
from the film, very good boundary safety that loves to come up the alley to stop the run. good blitzer from multiple spots. not so sure how great he is in coverage, not as much film, but he is fast and fluid to the ball. lined up in some cover 1, mostly at SS, but he plays on a very very good and talented team. ive got the same question as @goattalk100, is this too early for a 2026 guy especially from that part of the world?- How bad did OU look?
they looked really bad vs a bad UH team. but to be real, we did too last year after the 1st Q. UH made stupid mistakes.- Javion Hilson decommit
get him on campus at least 1 more time this season, hopefully 2x. 🤘- FSU and Clemson vs the acc
true about 2024 but its not a 1 year decision or a 10 year decision. they are both big brands in CFB. top 15-25 brands for both.- Would SEC expand again?……
it has to increase payout or no one will agree, i am assuming it would but yes, no guarantee.- Would SEC expand again?……
20 teams West: Texas, Ou, A&M, Lsu, OleMiss, MissSt, Arky, Mizzou, Vandy, Kentucky East: Bama, Au, UGA, Tenn, Florida, USCe, Clemson, Fsu, UNC, VT though i would prefer the Pod system so we can play everyone much more often. SW: Texas, Ou, A&M, Arky, Mizzou Swamp: Lsu, OleMiss, Miss St, Bama, Auburn SE: UGA, Florida, Tennessee, Vandy, Kentucky Coastal: USCe, Fsu, Clemson, UNC, VT- Would SEC expand again?……
I think at some point, 2 years or 8 years, its coming(20 is my thought but 24 is not out the question for both Sec/B1G). 1. Are teams still attached at the hip? (Would UNC come without Duke or NcSt)? 2. Would big10 want a foot hold in the south, Florida and Texas and maybe Georgia(FSU/Miami, Aggy/TT, GT). if i were Sec, i would lean with UNC, VT, Clemson/Fsu for 20. If they go 24 Kansas, Virginia, Duke, ?. Can make a case for many teams for spot 22-24. i dont think Aggy goes B1G even though there is twitter chatter.- Brandon Brown announcement (now July 5th - as of 10:15 am CST Wednesday)
Understand the relationship with Bo, makes sense. 0u makes no sense. They didn’t believe in him until way after the Texas staff did.- NCAA D-I Council approves unlimited college football coaching staff size for 2024 season
time to make some quality hires 🤘- OTF on de-commitment watch
Thanks for the clarification. Can you also say if the person that is on de-commit watch has made an OV to Texas yet? 🤘- What if..
should do non conf also bc we know ou got out of UGA and got tulane added. I think Texas is 9-3 at worst and 12-0 at best. Hardest games: Bama at DKR(UGA is better), Ole Miss on the road would be a shootout, LSU has new QBs and WRs but BR is no fun for opponents, Mizzou on the road could be a tight game early on and we have to put them away(similar to Kentucky that we do play this year), and Tenn at DKR , im not yet sold on the QB but the DE is damn good. 0u: loses to Michigan, UGA, Tough games with Kentucky and Aggies. I think UF on a good day could challenge them but would lean 0u at the end.- Oregon State transfer PG Jordan Pope commits to Texas
backcourt and wing are fine but we need another Center/PF. Garrison can play C but Rytis is a 4. We would still need a 5. Shedrick cant likely play more than 25 mins/game. If not Garrison, who?- Dallas Skyline 4-star LB Elijah Barnes commits to Texas
🤘- Shadow Creek LB Anthony Williams decommits (Thursday 6:59 pm cst)
through the whistle, until the blood is dry, maybe even a little after the email is sent- Four-star EDGE locks in Texas official visit (Tuesday 11:10 a.m. CST)
Great Buck with a couple of years of development. Dude comes fast off the edge. Very athletic. Great pair with LJ on the other end. Then get one of the 2 OOS guys and thats a great edge class. - What does the Georgia game do for recruiting?
