This game is going much better than last year’s so far. Not there this year but wish I was. Regarding the SEC Network person working the scores and counts on the tv screen, they have been bad all season. They are wrong a lot and quite often very slow to update balls and strikes and outs.

The Pro Bowl appearances have to be jaded somehow since his best passing year he had only 12 TDs with about a 51% completion percentage. His highest yardage year was 2,546. Three out of his 6 years he threw more interceptions than TDs and had more career interceptions than TDs. Of course, he was a pretty good runner but that was about it. I had hoped he would have a good pro career, but it really was not. However, that does not take away from his being one of the greatest Longhorns of all time.

Interesting that Yates picked Banks as high as most people have. As I recall, didn't Kuyper have some negative comments about Banks?

I understand about not liking all sports. I am a big baseball and football fan, but not much of a basketball fan. I have followed scores, etc., for the women's team this year but have not watched any games. The main reason I have even done that is because coach Schaefer was the assistant men's basketball coach for a few years for Boyce Honea at my high school and I had coach Honea as my coach when he was coaching JV baseball. Having grown up in Houston I was a bit of a Cougars basketball fan when I was young but haven't followed them much in years. I don't care for hockey or soccer either.

The bottom half of the order has not been producing well. Interestingly, Flores has had some clutch hits, but is only batting .190 in SEC play. He hasn't had a 2 hit game since the Sam Houston game. Also, Duplantier is hitless in SEC play. Rodriquez, Stewart, Winfield, and Chamberlain are all hitting under .200 in SEC play, while Galvan, Gasparino, Mendoza, and Schuessler are all hitting .300 or above. We definitely need for strikeouts to be cut down some and for some guys to step up. Max is being sorely missed.
