Evaluating the Midway Point of Spring Football | Friday
I would lime to see Sark put his speed on the field with a 5 wr set....or split a back out.

Austin Westlake Kicker Joins Texas 2024 Class
If the kid can punt and kick it would save a spot on the travel team.

Thursday afternoon recruiting nuggets (2:37 P.M. CST)
How much will C. Simmons be able to influence DK Moore moving forward in the recruiting process or would it be a J Cook type that would move the needle?

Coffee and Football: Thursday 04/04
If he has a good year he will probably only stick around for 1 IMO.

Coffee and Football: Wednesday 04/03
Has any of the interior D Lineman started to rise to the top, specifically the 0 and 3 tech guys we are going to need?

Ryan Wingo Standing Out to Sarkisian (Tuesday 12:22 p.m.)
He may be the best redzone target from the wr position with his size. Hopefully he will learn to "box out" and give his qb an easier throw in tight space.

Gbenda Chances
What are the odds Gbenda ends up with a draft grade this season. He jas made significant strides the past 2 seasons. If he continues that trajectory where do you think finishes? My thoughts 4-6 round pick but a huge jump from a few seasons ago.

Sark and Staff year 3
How well has Sark and the staff fared overall? The guys that are juniors were his first recruiting class. Where in comparison to the Georgia's and Alabamas and Ohio States is Texas now that they have had some time to build a roster. What are reasonable expectations moving forward?

Five recruitments with intrigue (Saturday 10:27 a.m. CST)
While Texas is planting flags all over the place, playing in the SEC.....how much intrigue is there for players out west (Bishop Gorman for example) or north of the Mason Dixon line to play down south. Outside of less than a handful Texas hasn't really reached into areas in the NE and states like Ohio Penn Michigan Virginia as examples.

Five 2024 Spring Ball Breakout Candidates
Of those mentioned Bledsoe is the one who must make the leap as Texas D Line group is woefully short on experience and to a degree depth. Letting teams stay in games that the Longhorns should have blown out see houston Rice etc cost the guys on roster opportunities in real games to develop. Just my opinion.

Spring camp is almost here. Which player/s have the most to prove? Do you see any surprises coming?

The Hype For Texas
There is always the same nonsense that comes with Texas football. Here is the new one. This staff is developing players and maximizing talent. Oh and by the way they actually seem to be like family, not just a bumper sticker saying. It's nice to see.

Now we just need to hear those names called. Exciting times for Longhorn nation.

Why the Difference
I would hate to see it bogged down as well, but reality is that college football is a profession now especially with the revolution of NIL. These guys are getting paid to be both student and athlete. Don't get ne wrong, I believe they should be as these schools have made a metric butt ton of money off of these kids.
-
Why the Difference
While I partially agree with your statement, either way it would be a level playing field. It would prepare student athletes for the next level. The game overall has gotten bigger and faster so while only a small portion make it to the pros, those that do would be much better prepared, and thus make them more successful. Bottom line is the product on the field at the pro level would get better and student athletes would adjust and be better thus a better product. Just my opinion.
-
Why the Difference
Why are the rules different at the college level vs Pro? Would it not be a better gauge and better preperation for the next level if the rules were the same? There IMO is no benefit to different rules for different levels of competition.

The Horns Are Rolling
Would it benefit UT to keep a combine training specialist on staff for the dead period after the CFP for these guys?
-
Xavier Worthy Breaks NFL Combine 40-Yard Dash Record
All of the Texas guys at the combine have done quite well. The development for the Horns is for real.
-
Byron Murphy says Anthony Hill will be a 1st round pick
Texas has done a much better job developing talent since Sark showed up. UT has always recruited well, now they are developing and putting guys in the league.
-
T Sweat B Murphy
How much does the projection for Chris Jones at 35 mil a year influence draft positions for IMO the top 2 D Lineman in the draft?
-
State of the Program
Strength is o line and hopefully a bountiful run game from it. Improved QE getting thru his progressions quicker and climbing in the pocket with more efficiency.

To the folks up in the Panhandle
Prayers for the folks in West Texas. Been there, it's rough.

What does Texas have to do to make the NCAA Tournament after win at Texas Tech?
First off typical Tech trash, no class. Second hats off to BC for the statement. Third UT needs to win 2 more to get in imo.
