Jim Schlossnagle calls Texas 'a work in progress' after season-opening loss to Louisville
I am impressed with him. A&M will probably have the better season thanks to their roster, but they will not do better long-term.

- Twenty years later, what can we learn from the success of the 2005 recruiting class?
Next time you sit down to write an article and ask yourself, should I write this? The answer is yes! You are going from strength to strength. Another wonderful topic. The fun thing about that class is that we had to settle for the 3 star QB who committed early and who never waivered even when it looked like we would also get Perrilloux. I remember laughing at A&M because they only got him by offering his two star brother Michael. And yes, Colt did OK and it turned out that Michael was the better of the two.- Sunday Scattershooting: Looking back at the 2020 recruiting class
I loved this. I hope it becomes a regular feature also.- Where members of the No. 1 Texas signing landed in the final 2025 rankings from 247Sports and ESPN

Yes, typically the plays that lose yardage are the dumbest. If the same play would’ve scored a touchdown then it would’ve been peachy keen. My goodness.- Texas Would Be Favored Against Both Notre Dame & Penn State
Notre Dame is to Texas as Texas is to Nebraska.- SOS rankings are flawed as hell
ESPN has Michigan State at 27th and Colorado at 63rd. Texas has risen to 14th.- Transfer Portal Entries Thread (1st Week of December)
I know A&M has their sights on another QB, but they would be a fool not to try for him.- Transfer Portal Entries Thread (1st Week of December)

What makes it even more damning is that this video is in response to a video circulating showing how he tipped every play against Auburn. With that out there, it is even more shocking that this problem wasn’t fixed before Saturday.- Another recruiting note (Sunday 6:20pm CST)
I don’t know anything about USC’s depth, but I assume it’s an easier path than Texas.- Another recruiting note (Sunday 6:20pm CST)
Myron Charles, unfortunately.- Johntay Cook
He’s obviously close friends with Hill but I agree it’s best just to ignore him.- The SP+ now projects Texas to win SEC and play in National Championship
Here is the link to what seems like a great site if you want to see how the various scenarios play out. https://bball.notnothing.net/sec.php?sport=fb- The SP+ now projects Texas to win SEC and play in National Championship
The only way Texas gets into the SEC championship game is if Texas wins out and we either are in sole possession of first place or we end up tied with Georgia (or one other team) at the top of the SEC. I believe under every 3+ tie scenario Texas loses the tiebreaker. As an example, if Texas, Georgia and LSU win out and there’s a three-way tie at first, then LSU plays Georgia in the championship game. Conference opponent win percentage kills us every time. But it’s actually more complicated. If one of the teams we are tied with is LSU, I think we always lose. But there are some scenarios where either the common opponents played or conference win percentage puts us ahead of Tennessee and Alabama. And others where both along schools (along with A&M) rank ahead of Texas in the tiebreakers.- Great Breakdown on Ewers/Texas 1H Struggles

Anyone thinking that Texas will probably do nothing is dreaming. The SEC statement requires Texas “to use all available resources, including security, stadium and television video, to identify individuals who threw objects onto the playing field or at the opposing team. All individuals identified as having been involved in disrupting the game shall be prohibited from attending Texas Athletics events for the remainder of the 2024-25 academic and athletic year.” Here are the SEC bylaws/regulations on this. “If cans or plastic bottles are used as projectiles or otherwise cause game management issues, the institution is subject to an immediate fine and suspension of the alcohol sales privilege.” The Conference is not suspending alcohol sales privileges for the University of Texas at this time but reserves the right to do so if other requirements outlined above are not met.- Georgia Game Predictions

Stoops would have jumped at the Texas head coach job. But not enough skins on the wall, apparently. When Mack was hired, my friend from North Carolina made a curse. She wished me the same level of success he had had at NC. But for the magic of Vince Young, her curse would have stung.- Texas A&M fan on Mike Elko
I wouldn't go so far as to call the brother fat, I mean he got a weight problem. #Jules- University of Maryland
This will never happen again. Never. Not ever. Because we are awesome! Be that as it may, I don’t think I ever enjoy a season opener the way I should.- Jorvorskie Lane Jr. decommits from a&m
The refrigerator! Yes, Lane is definitely going to commit to Texas. That will be so funny. - Twenty years later, what can we learn from the success of the 2005 recruiting class?
