Margueritte Aozasa, who led UCLA to the 2022 NCAA women’s soccer championship in her debut season as head coach, has been hired by Texas.

During her four-year tenure, Aozasa coached a 67-13-9 record and won two conference titles along with a national championship.

Yep.

That’s what he does. 

Championship caliber coaches - it's what CDC does.  That's why I'm confident that should any coaching jobs at Texas open up, as long as CDC is the AD, the replacement is going to be just as good if not better.

Let go one day, hire the next.

That seems to be the M.O. of the Texas athletic department these days.

Immediate next questions - who on the team stays, who transfers in, who transfers out?  Recruiting?  It's a non-stop news cycle!

would love flip the Reyna kid in Austin that is committed to unc. Top 5 recruit.  Program is likely a few years away from landing someone like that.

Dang what a great hire! CDC gets who he wants. All of our head coaches have some affiliation with either winning one or being on a staff that won a Natty. The women teams are killing it.

Looks like an excellent hire. 

I guess they're taking soccer seriously now that it's required for the Directors Cup.

Texas takes all sports seriously!

Expect CDC to make changes in track and field if they continue to not compete for championships.  It’s been a few years since Texas was owning the track and sending olympians to teams around the world.

They need to get more funds there for a bigger staff as well.
