In the last 30years that I've obsessed about college football, I don't recall any program reducing their stadium capacity by almost 10%. 

OU will now be around 11th in SEC in stadium capacity.

Terrible for college football if big programs start to do this. Stadiums are meant to be packed and loud. Oh well sucks to be a Sooner 🤘

I'm sure he's done the math and it works out for his bottom line, but what a terrible look for everyone on the field and the OU folks not in those luxury suites.

DKR capacity at 100,119 latest I’ve seen.   In past couple years, we’ve set all-time record for attendance.

Not to argumentative, but we also decreased seating with our South End Zone changes.........actually a super move because those seats were literally out of the stadium.

The trend now is to cannibalize the cheap seats and replace with lux boxes.  I think Northwestern has the right idea.  Especially if you are a niche market.

Personally, I think we should tear out the top 20 rows of the West upper deck.  Add a "short sun canopy" that reduces afternoon sun and increases crowd noise.  Just another good idea that CDC hasn't asked me about!

Alabama did it too. We’ve reached the tipping point in the chase for money where major schools have priced out the average fan for games worth watching, and the best return on investment is suites for big donors and corporate interests over raw attendance.
