Wow Very interesting to fire him mid season. This season has been terrible for them but he’s better than a lot of coaches currently coaching like Mark Stoops or Venables. Could he return to the SEC?

Half of his seasons there were 10 or more W seasons. I think if you fire a coach like Franklin you better be sure the next guy you’re getting is an improvement.

That buyout is NUTS. It’s amazing what college football has become. A school paying a guy $50mil to go away. woof.

The days of saying you don’t have the money to fire a coach has become an excuse if you are a major P4 team. 

He must have lost the locker room.

This was supposed to be their year. Like Oh St last year and Mich the year before, they had all these fourth and fifth year guys coming back to make a run. Instead a disaster ensued.

Jimbo got a buyout of over $70M to leave the Ags.  I was wondering when Penn State would fire Franklin for getting close, but no cigar.
