24 Days Until Kickoff — Who’s Your Favorite No. 24?

Featured Replies

First watched Brooks when he was at Halletsville and they played against Llano in the semis. Ran for nearly 300 yards and had a pocket six to close the game. Loved watching him at Texas

Clayborn was All American, Pro Bowler, SWC quarter mile track champ.  One of our greatest DBs, and stellar KO returner.  As an NFL rookie he returned 3 KOs for TDs.  One was on national TV and now on YouTube.  I'll post it later.  Or just reference "Clayborn 101" at YouTube.

Watching Jonah play baseball his loose limbed style reminded me of Raymond Clayborn.

Raymond Clayborn was Superman whenever he played at Texas.

Ted Koy was probably the only #24 to ever shake hands with the POTUS.

My high school defensive coordinator and English teacher, Reagan Willman. Out of Menard High School, he was a walk-on at Texas for three years (1994-96). He earned a letter in 1996.

A coach and teacher who helped mold me and changed my life for the better.

He has a degree from UT and rings for the last SWC title and the first Big 12 championship.

Coach Willman is my favorite No. 24 ever for the Longhorns. (And because of the Ron McKelvey fiasco, he's the only No. 24 listed on the 1994 and 1995 rosters.)

I had extreme doubts bout Brooks, the Blue … last yr it was Wisner,  proved me Wrong … thank goodness!

Forgive me for doubting Baxter this season …..please please please please let him be everything Jaden Baugh is and then some !

That McKelvey thing was crazy. I remember being in the superdome listening to the pregame chatter as it was unfolding.

@Jeff Howe That was awesome that you had a former UT player as a coach. Love that tidbit. He played during my time on campus. Fun years.

Raymond Clayborn had a much better career than Jonathon Brooks… college and pro. I don’t think Brooks is going to last very long in the pros… too many injuries.
