2026 DB Davon Benjamin to Announce Commitment August 2nd

Westlake Village Oaks Christian DB Davon Benjamin has a decision date coming at the beginning of August. The OTF 4-star++ is set to announce his decision August 2nd.

Michigan, Oregon, Washington and Texas have been the big players in this recruitment, with Oregon being the pace setter over the last month or so.

Texas is firmly in the fight for the talented west coast playmaker.

Benjamin officially visited the Longhorns on June 6 and is currently the only uncommitted defensive back on the board the Longhorns are recruiting at the moment.

Thanks!

Haven't heard much chatter about this guy. Is this due to all current activity or because he's a long shot?

Texas very much after him.

It's been quiet just in the sense that not much has changed since the June OVs.

Joe Zura getting ready to lick his chops with this one…

hope we pull off the upset so we can troll him!!

Probably Oregon.  Texas went big for Mathews. No need in even covering this one IMO.

I’d bet on oregon unfortunately since that’s where most of the chatter has been about him.

Oregon has 3 Safeties committed, they might be selling Devon as a CB. I love his as my cover 1 FS but he is very versatile and will probably take reps as a Fr at Star.
Let’s get him and end our DB recruiting for 2026. 🤘🏽

Well Texas has Benjamin at the top of the list for DBs…. Sooo

Bobby also said 20-21 commits by the beginning of fall camp.

Cooper will make is 19…

Atkinson and Benjamin are likely next in announcing. It doesn’t mean we will get them though
