Probably just me but was he recruited to the portal? Let’s see where he ends up. LSU, Ark and Tenn are looking for pitchers. Other teams are probably looking also.
 

It’s possible it was mutual but the timing seems odd. Plus the mods were caught off guard.

    Anyone know if the 2025 commits have started showing up or when they will start showing up?  I would guess most are playing summer ball.

    My understanding is they will be showing in mid July.  One of my good friend's grandson is part of the 2025 class.

    I may be off on this but seems like Schloss and staff are now honing in on their “type of players”. The one thing that always jumped out at me with Rerick was he always played emotional. He was really fiery when doing good but when he didn’t have it his emotions were clearly keeping him from being able to get pasted the rough start. That’s not the type of player that Schloss likes. I’m spitballing here but maybe Schloss and Weiner didn’t feel like he could get passed the emotional aspect.

    Texas wanted Rerick back and the coaches were excited about his future. That was the word the day before the news of him entering the portal dropped.

    I don’t think this was something the staff forced.
