He has had some crazy contract controversy with UTSA  and it seems like UTSA doesn't want to invest in the baseball program either so it makes sense. He recently said he'd prefer UTSA to invest in facilities than NIL so that says a lot.

My guess at the projected starting lineup next year for softball would be:

  • 1B - Stewart
  • 2B - Goode
  • SS - Martinez
  • 3B -
  • LF -
  • CF - Henry
  • RF - Maloney
  • C - Atwood
  • P - Kavan

Potentially some stud freshman could take the open positions, but it's there for the taking for the right person in the portal.

How funny would it be if Lindemuth transferred to Texas and is a major factor in Texas beating Tech in the WCWS?  Let's face it, with the lineup they've put together, they should win the big 12 easily since there's no Texas or ou in their way.

Who are the incoming freshman softball players and their positions?

Henry Ford is apparently considering Texas, Mississippi State, and Tennessee.

If y’all missed my update on him from Friday, I’m a bit more optimistic than before. A long way to go, however.

Optimistic how ? Like NIL wise or that he likes the schloss staff a bit more. Not saying you are wrong just curious what makes u optimistic since TN is known to throw the bag at players. He’s also from TN

Idk if she would play 3rd base or left field, but I'm excited to see Hannah Wells playing softball on the 40 Acres.  She will be a special player.

I'm guessing when she's not pitching she'll probably be the DP to bat but not have to play defense in the field.

From AI:

  • Hannah Wells: A standout pitcher and shortstop from Coahoma, Wells led her team to three consecutive state championships and is known for her impressive stats, including a 0.49 ERA and 258 strikeouts in her senior season.3

  • Anne Wallace: A catcher who adds depth to the Longhorns' lineup.3

  • Alisa Sneed: An outfielder who contributes to the team's offensive capabilities.3

  • Jaycie Nichols: An infielder who is part of the highly ranked recruiting class.3

  • Aundrea Wilson: An infielder who enhances the team's defensive and offensive options.3

  • Caigan Crabtree: A middle infielder who adds versatility to the roster.3

  • MaTaia Lawson: Another middle infielder who contributes to the team's depth

Based on the quotes on TexasSports.com - Coach White said Jaycie Nichols has the potential to be the next Janae Jefferson/Mia Scott.  And Alisa Sneed has tons of speed, so my guess would be for those two to potentially fill the vacancies with Wells pitching/DP batting.
