This morning on Coffee and Football we took a look at the win total predictions from CBS Sports for Texas, Texas A&M and OU. I'll post their predictions below, but this topic made a lot of people weigh in on the chat. So, what are your predictions for:

Texas: 9.5 wins
Texas A&M: 7.5 wins
Oklahoma: 6.5 wins

Do those teams go over or under and who do they lose to (if anyone)?

I find it interesting how many people are writing off the Ohio State game as an immediate loss. They aren't returning basically anyone and, while they have retooled, its an entirely new group playing together in the first game of the season against a team that will be competing for a National Championship. Maybe I am just being naive, but I have Texas going 11-1. A&M will go 8-4 like they do every year. Give me OU going 6-6. 

For those picking TAMU 8-4: Who do you have them losing to?

I see 7-5 as a best case scenario, with 6-6 being much more likely.

I'm on board with all of those, plus losing to UF.

Possibly: Auburn or Arkansas (they'll probably be down through most of this game and then Arkansas will screw it up in the 4th... as is tradition)

Texas 10-2

aggy 6-6 losing to Texas (of course), Notre Dame, LSU, South Carolina, Auburn, Florida. Bonus points if they lose to Samford.

mobilehoma 6-6 with a real chance of dropping below .500 and missing a bowl again.

Yes they’re road games and yes Texas is young.

 

But-

1. Ohio State returns very little from their title team.

2. Georgia doesn’t have the same punch and Texas will actually prepare for this QB.

3. Florida got absolutely steamrolled by Texas last year…with a more limited offense than ‘25 imo. A healthy QB doesn’t change that. 
 

 

Texas can win them all.

Florida showed a lot of improvement as the season progressed last year. That said, we play them early this year and I think we just have too much talent to lose even on the road.

Give me auburn to upset A&M. A&M goes 5-7.

Texas: over and going 10:2  potential losses @Florida (early in the season for offense to gel) and @Georgia (our cryptonite team)

Aggies: under with 5 losses to the good guys, @Notre Dame, @South Caroline, @LSU and hopefully @Arkansas (they're due a win) If they somehow manage to squeak out a win in Fayetteville like they always did the last couple years - it's because they already feel the pressure from losing to Florida at home the week before. 🤭

Choklahoma: over with losses to Texas, @South Carolina, @Tennessee and @Alabama

Wish each team's schedule was posted here also.  Also realize I do not know enough about the other teams.

I am still thinking BlowU at 6-6 is good for them.  Mateer is not in the PAC2 anymore.  He will get crushed running in the SEC.

aTm at 8 - 4 is just too easy a bet.

Look at the "wins" and "losses" under each team and you'll know who they face and if it's home/away.
