Howard strikes out Jake Brown to get out of the inning.

Four runs on five hits with two left on base for LSU in the seventh.

Pitching has been sub par and so has hitting.  Also, 8 strikeouts with no walks in 6 innings.

Milam botches a play at short on a ground ball by Mendoza. He's safe on an error charged to Milam. Belyeu comes up with two outs and Mendoza on first.

Single to right by Belyeu.

Dickinson couldn't get to Belyeu's grounder, which scoots into right field. Flores is up with two on and two outs.

Flores flies out to right and the inning is over.

A nice defensive play by Mendoza ends the top of the eighth, helping Howard work around a leadoff walk.

It's a shame that this is the first good look some folks have had on this team. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
