Bo Davis leaving LSU to coach Saints

Featured Replies

Smh at the recruits that bailed on us due to losing bo. Never go to a school only for a position coach. Especially one that has as many frequent flyer miles as bo Davis.

I keep forgetting SEC players can't transfer to other SEC schools unless they want to sit out for a year, so it wouldn't matter.

That’s a shame. This dude would be a take. Not sure a Lafayette guy would portal from LSU though

Honestly, that wouldn’t matter for the likes of Zion Williamson and Brandon Brown. They would probably sit a year anyway for development.

As a Saints fan, I’m happy with the hires so far. The organization is taking a blindingly different approach compared to the Dennis Allen led team so I’m as excited as I can be knowing the roster situation, but the future outlook is good once they get the right pieces. Tank for Arch and bring the Manning name back to the dome!

The grass isn’t always greener on the other side.  Hopefully our current roster is paying attention, with all of the position coach changes we have had this offseason.

Arch is not going pro for two years, at least. If Archie (his grandfather) has his way it would three years.

@Gerry Hamilton

Do you think Tex will try to portal flip a DT like Brown, McKinley, Zion, and Mathis? No on Sydir! Lol

I’m a firm believer that the grass is greener wherever you water it. That doesn’t describe Mitchell’s time at Texas.

I said nothing regarding what year. I’m well aware that he is staying multiple years. If it wasn’t evidence enough that he sat two years, all the jabber from his family would solidify it.

The Saints need to start positioning now for a move like that. You can’t wait until the year the guy comes out. Have to start stockpiling picks and shedding bad contracts. They already said Carr will be there for at least this year.

I don’t think guys would be too thrilled sitting out a year if they transfer to another school in the SEC.

Yep, forgot about the SEC transfer rule.

Kids never seem to learn to commit to the institution, not anyo ne person on the staff.

Most recruits commit to the coach not the school

If only Kelly would quit!

Not sure it matters.

Brandon Brown’s momma is hopefully getting a phone call today.
Dude needs to sit a year and develop anyway.

Walter Mathis can get a call too, but I dunno how developed that relationship is

I'm sure I am missing something -- I would assume the players that left Texas to other SEC schools are not sitting out 2025? So how are they able to work around that rule?

It only applies to spring portal transfers.
