So many of you have been supportive since Colt’s football accident in November, along with the complications in December, and have asked non stop on how he’s doing.

Today we reached a milestone. I posted this in the Alumni game baseball thread but wanted to put it here so everyone that’s been asking could see.

He took the field for the first time since the accident and played the entire game. He started at catcher and remained there the majority of the game, then finished out at shortstop.

It’s absolutely insane to me that in less than three months we went from ICU and not knowing if he’d even make it (there for awhile it was looking grim) to now playing baseball and doing what he loves.

Thank you all for your support, thoughts and prayers, and everything in between  it means the world to my family and I.  Krista and I both can’t thank you all enough.

Now if anyone wants to help me tell my wife that he’s decided to play football again… that would really be appreciated.  😂

That’s fantastic he’s back to being himself !! God bless yall Blake !🙏🏻🤘🏻

Prayers answered - that is a miraculous turnaround. So happy for you and the family!!

Wonderful news!  Thankful for answered prayers!

Love this. Glad he is back on the diamond. Best of luck kid and keep the Super Chats coming.

May God Bless,

You and your wife are very lucky people.

Help Colt think his way through the football decision with the advice of his Doctors.

God bless him.

That first pic brings back memories from my stroke 3 years ago.  The doctors said I was going to die (I was motionless so they didn't realize that I could hear them).

But God intervened and said, "not so fast my friends."

I proved and now Colt has proved that you CAN survive even while practically shaking hands with the Grim Reaper.

Good, luck, Colt!  God is on your side!

Awesome story! Colts the man! Congrats to the Monroe family on coming through all this. You’re strong parents and we all see where Colt gets that same mentality!

I'll tell your wife.  Just let me know if I need a hard hat or a kevlar vest.  😁
