Adding Jeff sure would be dope! My first sub was to 247 back in the day with Bobby, Gerry, and Jeff. I moved to IT with Bobby and now here to OTF. Would be cool if we got a return of the blitz 👀

First and foremost, Jeff’s a friend so I wish him the best.

As he wrote in his farewell post, he’s a free agent, so we’ll see what the next steps are for him.

I’d certainly like nothing more than to work with him again. 

I would love this development!  He's the only reason I've held onto my 247 sub (and a few of the long-term members there).  Jeff and Rod B are great together on The Blitz.

The only reason i have kept my 247 sub is because i get it with Paramount+.

Jeff’s got a very special place in my heart so i would love to have him over here. Gave me a year free sub to horns 247 when i was a broke college student.

He was the last link to 247 for me. Everyone has left.

Jeff's a good dude and a good writer.  The worst part of giving up my 24/7 sub was not being able to read his stuff. 

Chip, on the other hand, is insufferable.  If he ever becomes a "free agent", please don't hire him.

Agreed on the thin skin. 

As I didn’t know all about this Texas like sites and podcasts I was scrolling one day on Spotify and found this Texas thing called Longhorn blitz with Jeff, Rod B, and Matt butler, that is how I started and found  all these Texas websites and podcasts. He is the reason why I went from just a casual fan to checking this website every hour to see if there is news Hookem hopefully Jeff can be part of this wonderful team. 

Jeff is AWESOME. Before I found OTF, I found longhorn blitz with Rod Jeff and Matt Butler. Hence why I first thought producer Matt for OTF was actually Matt butler for a minute until I asked 😂. Jeff and rods chemistry is unmatched as well.

Matty b as you call him is why I stopped listening. He simply can’t gather and state a thought. It’s 4-7 minutes of thinking outloud and over explaining the same thought. It’s nails on the chalkboard. If he’d stick to his quick stat shots it’d be so much better. 

Reunite the blitz! Would be historic, and take OTF over 100,000. 

Like many others on here, I miss the Blitz. It was my favorite for years. Jeff does a great job and I wish him the best.

Haha we’ll have to agree to disagree! I loved it when he would chime in. I thought he did a good job breaking down complex stats and how they apply to the games. I also really like his herring takes.

I agree but he actually got better in recent years. Before, it was like nails on a chalkboard—interrupting everyone, talking in the loudest monotone, and rambling on with weird NBA analogies. But he became much more listenable.

Getting another baseball guy would be nice. It feels like most UT websites put baseball on the backburner for coverage.
