Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian is on the podium for the postgame press conference following the Georgia victory over Texas in Austin.

our first few plays were not bad but after OL got beat and Quinn got hit, eyes came down and that was it. 

Sarkisian on the early gameplan not going the way of the offense.

Sarkisian says he thought the offense early on did some decent stuff, but there were not enough positive moments for the Texas offense to continue drives. Texas was 2/15 on third downs.

 

Sarkisian: "Quinn is our starting quarterback."

On the Barron INT that was overturned: 

Sarkisian says he was continuously asking the ref what he saw to warrant the flag. Then it was picked up.

Sarkisian calls the Georgia EDGE game elite. 

They were tonight that's for sure.

"We were definitely in desperation mode and that's not where you want to be against good teams."

Sarkisian says he wasn't too surprised by what UGA came out and did defensively to start the game.

Sarkisian says he does not know what specifically is causing slow starts offensively, but the staff will be checking on it and monitoring it.

Sarkisian says it was not intentional for Jaydon Blue to not get a rush attempt.

"The game got out of whack."

"Tonight wasn't our night running the ball."

Sarkisian says DB Andrew Mukuba has a knee that needs to be assessed. "We will get back to you on that."

Sarkisian is very clearly avoiding the word "benched" when discussing Quinn Ewers in the second quarter.

On the decision to take Quinn Ewers out, Sarkisian has mentioned several times it is all about finding ways to recalibrate his mental and get him some time to refocus.

Sarkisian credits Georgia's scheme and talent to get them in positions to back plays on the defensive side of the ball.

Sarkisian was asked about the concern of the team going forward: "It was one game... We are not going to throw a pity party."

I'm starting to think Quinn has confidence issues possibly within. The oline did him no favors as well.

Hes definitely gun shy right now. I didn't like it when Rod said he's playing like mullet Quinn. It sucks because he's right

There were a few plays early in the season where the announcers would show how well Quinn is moving around in the pocket. That is gone now. Anything other than a clean pocket where he has four seconds to go through his reads is ending badly.
