Arkansas is the only other team that is unbeaten in conference and is 14-2 overall, but it lost in straight sets at Miami and has played no ranked teams.  Top hitters are a 5'10" sophomore and a 6'2" redshirt freshman.  Top blocker is a 6'4" senior.

Rutherford sailed one after Halter made a great save after a putback by Arky after a Texas overpass.

Kahahawai serves long.  She has a ton of errors this year.  8-6.

Ames middle hit falls just inside the left sideline.  9-6.

Arky dink falls in. 9-7.

Halter flubs return.  Arky ace. 9-8

Arky serve error.  10-8.

Madkin dinks off block.  10-9.  Halter's service wasted again.

Rutherford kills one.  11-9.

Arky off block, back row can't chase it down.  11-10.

Texas overpass results in net violation.  11 all.

skinner serves into the net.  12 all.

Kahahawai blocked.  13-12 Arky.

Texas overpass, but defense recovered and blocked Arky.  Ames/Singletary.  13 all.

Akana went into the stands to save a ball, but Arky wound up with point later with Texas block going out. 

Kahahawai just murdered one down line from opposite.  14 all.

Kahahawai ace.  15-14 Texas. 

 

Back to back aces after a timeout.  16-14 Texas.

Then she served long .. 16-15.

Great placement by Wenaas on the dink.  17-15.

And she follows it with an ace.  18-15.

Timeout Arky.

Arky coach does actually have some hair on his head, btw.  Not a lot, but he breaks our string of bald opposing coaches.

Wenaas missed the court by about 5 yards on her next serve.  18-16.

Skinner off block for her first kill tonight.  19-17.

Skinner with a kill after a rally with good d, blockers deflecting shots, etc.  20-17.

Texas called to go long, call changed due to touch call.  Arky challenging.  By the way, this is Texas with Halter serving and Singletary, Rutherford, Skinner on the front line.  I keep waiting for this rotation to run off 5 or 6 points at a time, but it hasn't happened yet.

Rutherford tosses it to an open spot.  21-18.

Kahahawai kill cross court from Halter bump set.  22-18.

Singletary/Skinner block.  23-18.  Singletary is so good.

Skinner kill from Halter bump set over her head.  Halter is so good at those.

Madkin goes wide, but late call of a touch.  24-19.

24-20 after a mess of a point with dink saved to the net.

Texas hit .333; Arky hit .175.  Blocks 4-1 favoring Texas. 

Wenaas with 3 kills in 4 chances.  Skinner with 4 kills, 1 error in 5 chances.

BTW, that is Elliott going for his 600th win at Texas, not in his career. 

Loved the Ames tap back into open floor after Arky overpass.  Followed by Kahahawai kill..  Follwed by Arky hitting into the pole.  challenge Arky.  8-4 Texas pending the challenge. 

Obviously off Wenaas before it hit the pole.  7-5 Texas.

Skinner with 4 swings.  3 kills.  One just wide down ine.  12-8 Texas. 

The last swing smashed the Arky libero in the face.  She's down for a few minutes.

UT trainer went out with Arky trainer to check on the Arky libero. 

Skinner just murdered that girl. 

Wenaas is having a great match.  8 kills to 1 error in 11 swings so far.  15-11 Texas.

Kahahawai back row smash set up set point.  Exchange of serve errors results in Texas winning set 25-17.

Texas hit .484 that set and is hitting .424 overall. 

Wenaas and Skinner have 18 kills in 26 swings.  That's incredible.

Kahahawai started slowly this match, but she has 7 straight kills without an error to get her hitting percentage up to .438 this match.  5-3 Texas.

make that .471.  6-3 Texas.
