That really puts it into perspective…

I don't know why I thought Mateer was like 6'4/6'5 lol.

Justice! gotta give her credit for having a good sense of humor and posting it. Not normal Okie mental traits.

I spent 30 days at a Longhorn ranch a couple of years ago.  It was there that I realized what "horns down" really means.

If one of those bad boys suddenly bends his head down and shakes the horns, it's time to give him some space.

Trust me people, a Longhorn staring at you with his horns up is way safer than one with his horns down.  He's warning you.

So keep throwing those "horns down" signs.  People in the know are laughing at you!

Gooner #20 ranked class is comically sad even by their standards... 🤣😂

Nagy (the real head coach, not BV) loves his 3-star diamonds in the rough.  They told me croots are waiting for them to have a 9- or 10-win season, a win over Texas, and a CFP appearance to pull some flips and spend big $$$ in the portal.

Soonerscoop reported that Nagy and his "staff" attend every practice and then gives BV a grade for the players AND coaches. This must be the most dysfunctional setup in history. Why does BV have the title of HC if he can't even be trusted at practice?

They really think this team is gonna have an out of nowhere, magical 2000-esque season lol it doesn't help that they've landed 2 5-star OL in the last 24 hours

They're really acting like Hawkins is better than Mateer and that their running game is going to magically appear. 🤣 after reading some of the comments I had to make sure it was too early to be drunk.

What are they saying?

I think Texas has the dogs to stop OU even if Mateer did play.

If you can't beat the criminals with Mateer, then you don't deserve to be a playoff team. They can't run, and if you can't stop one mid level guy trying to play hero ball your defense can't get it done. Add to that BV runs a gimmick defense that gives up a lot of explosive plays and the beat goes on.

I'm not a believer in how good that defense actually is. 🤣 but take my opinion with a grain of salt because I never think our upcoming opponent is. If BV isn't blitzing they don't get pressure and can't cover on the backend. Their linebackers in coverage are a huge liability. If the screen and swing pass game comes together it's going to be a long day.

This is what makes their defense gimmicky. Their back seven is below SEC average. They can blitz, but they can't get home without gimmicks, which exacerbates their coverage problems when you have a QB that can avoid pressure. This is not a good match-up for the criminals regardless of who plays QB for them.

Venables had the horses when he was at Clemson with tons of NFL talent to cover just long enough for the DL to get home.  But in the NIL world of today and ou acting like they are only middle class, he can't field a roster full of enough guys to do what he's traditionally done on defense.  We won't even talk about the hits they've taken in offensive recruiting.
