Agree. The slot money for those players is approximately:

Rainer (11th pick) $5.7 million 

Gillen (18th pick) $4.3 million 

Sterling (37th pick) $2.5 million 

Teams don’t waste picks at the top of the draft anymore. If a kid is drafted above where they’re projected, it’s a pretty safe bet that they’re willing to sign below slot.
