Another tremendous addition to the future of the Texas Baseball program. 

Jim Schlossnagle and his staff have landed the No. 1 player in the state of Texas — Kayson Cunningham, an infielder out of San Antonio Johnson HS. 

Cunningham was previously committed to Texas Tech, though reopened his recruitment and made the decision to stay closer to home and pick the Longhorns. 

 

 

Is there any chance the #1 player in the state makes it on campus? 

Wow!  I knew we would rebuild, but, did not expect this!  Tremendous hire.  Pierce has never had a heater like this.

Does he even make it to campus?

Would be awesome if he made it to campus. 

I don't follow college baseball very closely. How quickly do high-school players adjust to the college game? I know football players typically need time to get bigger and stronger but that seems less important in baseball.

90 mph is the same across every level. He’d contribute as a freshman 

Hopefully he makes it onto campus 

Seen him play a few times... STUD. IMO higher ceiling than Jalin Flores
